Four Swords Adventures I've never really thought about this game in terms of TASing, until recently so now I have. Wouldn't a 4-player TAS of this be amazing? Perhaps I should've posted this in the wishlist topic, but still.

I don't think (Correct me if I'm wrong) that Dolphin has support for GBA yet. There is single player TAS of the first level at least: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Hb3uXrEnY. Not sure if more progress is being worked on however, though it looks very nice so far.

IIRC there are some branches of VBA-M that work well with Dolphin. Not sure if there are rerecording versions yet though. This and Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles would be definitely worth seeing

It does, and this is one of the few games which actually work with it.

That was a nice TAS with neat glitches :D I've tried this game's GBA connection on Dolphin myself and it did infact work, at least thousand of revisions ago (at least 1+ year ago), but it real slow. There's also the question how well it would sync and how the TAS tools work when you're working with 5 different applications running...

Because it's not complicated enough just to control four players separately. No, five emulator instances need to be linked up to cause the ultimate mess. This is going to be a mess both to TAS and encode, given that there are so many parts involved. I even question if the game can be emulated in realtime on modern hardware.

Please check the forums better next time, a topic already exists. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13986 Can someone merge the threads? And someone already made a TAS of level 1, so it could be done, it seems.

I think that just making a single player TAS would be amazing enough on its own for this game. Less ambitious maybe, but much more likely to happen since single player has been more solidly routed out and glitch hunted ^^ I hope to see work on this game, it's really fun to watch and fast paced :3

Doing a single player run of this game is obviously suboptimal, the levels are designed for cooperative play where the players do different things at the same time. Besides, a single player run isn't nearly as entertaining as a full blown four player run. This is possible star material.

There are many times where more players will be slower. Such as the end of every level, where you have to pick the Hero of Time and such. Takes forever. But indeed, multiplayer will most likely be more entertaining. Though it's highly unlikely that it will be faster.

Just get 2 other people and you have enough people to TAS this game how it was meant to be. No fighting over who is red Link though guys.

It will take a good while before I can start TASing this anyway. As I have a few projects being worked on. So go ahead =).

Yeah I'll start a singleplayer TAS. Only problem is route planning?

The game has individual selectable levels, so route-planning isn't a problem. You just need to finish each level with 2000 rupees if I'm correct.
