Great to see a TAS of the Arcade version of this game submitted here!
This version is more difficult to beat than the SMS version, and you did a great job on this game. I especially liked the initial version of the "Blue Death" boss (bouncing on the flying enemies was neat).
Thanks for explaining about the gold glitch, the damage route, and the lag (I didn't realize some areas are laggy when I played this game before).
About the wall glitch on the Round 2: Great discovery! That wall is the only one the glitch works? I wonder if this glitch could work with some walls of the last round (for instance, around 9:53 and 10:07 of the encode video).
About the damage route: On Round 8, I noticed you waited a bit to take damage on the room before the main boss room. Couldn't be faster taking damage from one of Death enemies on Round 9 instead? Or they do high damage enough to kill the player?
Also, I noticed something at the end of the first room of Round 10 (around 7:48 of the video): Falling down directly is faster than doing a jump earlier to this point?
Watched this run on the same day you've submitted it, but I didn't comment before because I decided to test this game when I had free time: actually the "start" button has one more function: it speeds up messages, even the unavoidable ones (the "quiz" boss from Round 6 and the ending message after you defeat the last boss).
Meanwhile, yes vote...
And fun fact: the ending message on the SMS version can advance without needing input at all. I don't remember if the behavior applies with the Arcade version too.

Happy birthday to TASVideos! 20 years!
This site has a special place in my heart since I discovered it nearly 13 years. Watching several runs like Bomberman, Mario 64, Zelda, Sonic... the technical work were so impressive that turned 2011 a big breakthrough for me (yep, 5 years before joining the site as a player).
I pratically learned how to TAS and English by reading the submissions, pages, and posts :)

Good job once again.
I noticed some stuff while watching the new WIP:
1 - On Barmy Army, it's possible to grab that puzzle piece then lost a life some frames faster by taking advantage of the punch attack hitbox (I played this game again).
2 - Nice Cresta Run routing! When I found a way to clip and reach the puzzle piece, initially I tried using that slope but almost worked for me. Glad you found a proper solution :)
3 - I thought you were planning to choose world 5 before worlds 3 and 4. The extra lives were helpful after all.
4 - The walljumps during Rain Forest were magnificent, considering this stage takes too much time to reach the key.
5 - The puzzle piece grab on Sun Rise stage was great too!
6 - For the world 3 boss battle, it's possible to shorten the punch attack by being closer to the enemy.
You can also take advantage of the punch attack hitbox and attack him while facing right direction.

Unfortunately they don't float on water. Also, the previous version of this stage I posted here has a better optimization near the end. I wish walljumping could be possible :\
For oil wells stage, nice it seems like there's an easy extra life now which should help with death routing a lot, maybe even cut out a 1-up grab completely from somewhere else.
I didn't use ram watch at all, but not riding the snake was around 30~40 frames slower at the end, for my surprise.

Love the new glitch!
And for my surprise, water works like "conveyor belts", gaining speed if you're facing right direction.
