I noted some mistakes on my movie and was planning to fix them. So, I managed to fix 4-1 and 5-1 (with different strategy), as well as fixing later desyncs: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/776887608/2010StreetFighter-v2.bk2 I'm not good on 3-1, but tomorrow I'll try to check 1-1 and planet 3 last level. There's no way to fall off in 5-1.

This hack is well suited for a sonic game (and even more because this is a SegaCD game). @Evil_3D Since I watched nitsuja's WIP, your WIP looks impressive. Nice work!

This project isn't dead, and great work again! By checking this topic, I found a post that randomness (in particular enemy movement and behaviour) is affected by input. So when you finish this game, do you intend to resync to the lastest version of BizHawk? If not, I can try, like I did with "game end glitch" TAS.

Good luck! I kinda gave up on this game because the autoscrollers drove me nuts; hope you can get through it!
I did this "stage skip glitch" because was actually easy to TAS. Over 10 minutes were saved but resulted on a completely different way. Well, I have 3 projects to finish, but I can try at least some progress in this game someday (or collaboration).

After several years, finally a TAS of this game is submitted. Back on 2014, I watched that TAS and was surprised how was much optimized, including unexpected skips (since I have played this game on the same year). Now after 4 years, watching your run, you did a great work overall! Yes vote.

I tested this game because of this find... there are more places to do this glitch, including that long underwater stage. EDIT: This glitch also works by dying after loses all energy (also requires frame perfect -- before he vanishes completely while dying). Now I ruined this game. EDIT 2: Done! EDIT 3: Video removed because is actually faster by dying on a enemy, as well as can performed on every stage.

Challenger, I crashed to collect a key (= activates the bonus room) in a hidden egg. The skateboard has a minimum speed and you can't collect any hidden eggs while you're on it (there are exception(s) to this, but at least these ones aren't possible to collect).
Never knew about the existence of keys on this game (since I'm not much familiar with this game). Thanks for the explanation.

Nice work improving another 2006 run. Yes vote. EDIT: Any reason why you crashed the skate on 2-3 and 7-3?

Well, that last boss (on "3 phases") is difficult and much annoying to optimize, but despite this, I'm still trying to optimize even more that battle. And I decided to show more progress: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1615543160/cadash-2p-tas.bk2 Near 6 minutes ahead of the published TAS. Very big improvement!

Last WIP 4: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45499641808559610 Due of my recent glitch discovery, I changed some paths of this run in order to keep these continues, necessary to do 2 skips in Balrog's Castle: 1 - Picked 2 medicinal herbs on beginning of this game. 2 - I bought an extra continue (although I lost a lot of time). In order to do these skips, I need 5 continues - 2 for a skip on stage 4 - 2 and 1 for two skips on Balrog's Castle, respectively. I'm over 5 minutes ahead. That first phase is still improvable - just showing a bit of progress.

Can't find the (J) version. What's the hash? With that I can add it to the DB.
The (J) version has a different name: Super Wonder Boy - Monster World. And the rom I have is: "Super Wonder Boy - Monster World (J) (V1.0) [!].sms" This game is compatible with FM sound (like several other SMS games released on Japan), but regardless if the FM is enabled or not, it plays the "normal" sound instead [unlike the dega emulator, and the (UE) rom version].

I forget to mention for a year, but on the japanese version rom of Wonder Boy in Monster Land, when choosing FM sound, instead of playing this sound, it plays PSG ("normal") sound instead. This is also present in the previous versions of BizHawk.

While I was researching more of this game, I discovered another glitch (abused of kiliing a player at same time as reviving another player - requires perfect time to do this), leading me to discover 2 skips: Link to video Link to video I'll explain later about more things and release another WIP of this game. EDIT: Improved that shortcut on stage 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2W8j3l35aKQ (respawning a player on the very top of game screen) Also, another WIP arrived: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45299425045135356 - redo stage 1 to save 2 MP of mage, as well as extra damage boost. - new trick to rope climbings (down+b "hitbox" while on air). - skipped fire sword; - for some reason, I defeated the worm boss with ONLY 2 sword attacks (7 hits were counted on the first attack, and 3 hits were counted on the second attack). Have no idea why this glitch has occurred, but I haven't tested so much. - worm boss room is laggy with 2 players, so I jumped at the start. - death abuse (twice) to gain "superspeed" on a very few seconds. Stage 2 (actually stage 3) finished! 3078 frames ahead. Due of new skip discoveries, the WIP route is improvable, but not enough to restart this project until I finish this run, mainly because of exp route and leveling up also increases speed. EDIT 2: That new glitch used on the improved stage 4 shortcut is much more useful than I expected! Also it's possible to do this glitch to skip most of last room of stage 3 before that village, as well as skipping even more of balrog's castle (stage 5), abusing twice. Since this game has a limited amount of continues, sadly I only can perform 2 of 3 skips that I mentioned. :( Balrog's castle is the obvious choice, not only avoids backtracking as well as skipping a boss, and the golden key. I decided to post now because the published run of this game has completed 12 years.

Seconded. And a notable improvement flag. 2 words for this TAS: MIND BLOWING!!! Your TAS is definitely one of best TASes that I ever seen! Hope to see a new 100% TAS with these improvements.

After many weeks without touching this game, I did some more progress: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45011271715590784 - Compared the previous WIP, I changed a bit of EXP route. - Saved more frames during the way in the cave, although reducing lag with 2 players isn't easy. I'll check this cave again once I finish this run. - Well, since the mage is slower than fighter, I lost roughly 210 frames. But during the boss, with the flying daggers spell of mage, I saved a lot of time on the boss path. 579 frames faster.

Some exciting discoveries recently. After 6 years, you'll see a new SMB warpless run in 2018. It's been the project I value the most.
Cool! I haven't considered that the current warpless run could be improved (considering how you are expert on SMB). EDIT: Looking forward to it.

Sonic 8-bit games isn't easy to optimize (on my view) because of these stupid random lags. But you did a great work trying to reduce lag while optimizing each stage! Yes vote.

Nice WIP! I also found these zips before (except the last zip). I updated the game resources to include more addresses from BizHawk. So, I'm interessed to check this WIP. Also, on The Crypt location (also that first room), I managed to get that exit door (normally acessible after that boss) through zipping, but because of these blocks (on the boss room), I wasn't able to zip in order to reach that boss.
