Definitely seconded! This movie also was one of best movies that I watched on TASVideos! Also including [3583] GB Mega Man V by Tremane & Noxxa in 39:21.26 (that was my favorite GB TAS of 2017)

I'm impressed how these glitches resulted on a biggest timesaver. Never expected that this game (at least this version) could be beaten under 40, 30 or even under 20 minutes! Yes vote. The energy lost (during the desert) works a bit different than genesis version, isn't?

I originally intended to encode, but my net was busy before. So, thanks for the encode, ThunderAxe! The first opponent fight now looks better than before. Yes vote! Now 7 dega runs left!

Woah! Finally someone TASing this game! Good luck, ThunderAxe31 and WarHippy. EDIT: This run doesn't sync on the most recent versions, but synched fine on BizHawk 1.12.2 (I have this emulator version)!

Encode: Link to video This is a type of game that I couldn't improve myself (due of very random lags - the other 2 sonic games has the same problem). So, nice work again! Yes vote.

Tails' Sky Patrol was quite well optimized. But, so far I managed to save 3 frames in each of the first 2 levels, so I'm at least making progress.
Nice work. I also considered the same optimization reason. But, the lag of this game is randomly?

Although I don't understand much about sub-pixels, and with the recent improvement that I found, I'll help to improve Kenseiden! One of my favorite games. Probably the last game (dega movies) that's enough for me to improve.

I'll test this route. Hope if saves time. EDIT: Tested this. After the mirror, I followed approximately the same route of this TAS. But resulted on a longer giant enemy position, and a slower time (roughly 400 frames, even with a trick to skip the bird scene on the sky - discovered today). During the way to the gnome, I found a way to skip the deadly water message (saves a few frames), but unfortunately results on a later desync (this game isn't friendly to edit).

Has anyone else been able to get the FM2 to sync? For me it always fails at the same point, in the Skull Man refight.
What FCEUX version you are used? Initially it also desynched with me on the same place. When I checked the emulator, I noted that I used a wrong version instead of 2.2.3 version.

Yes vote, but mostly on account of being familiar with the PC version of the game; never played this version before. Anyway, couple questions. From what I can tell from previous submissions, the reason you don't go down the hole by the mushroom is to avoid the rat. Aside from cheese, you can also give him a minor treasure (diamonds, golden walnut, golden egg, ring) to get by. Would this be faster than coming back to the cave at a later time? You'd still need the fiddle or clover when doing this, of course. Why get the bucket to deal with the dragon when you can simply throw the dagger (or even use the invisibility ring, if picking that up would be faster)?
To tell the truth, I'm not familiar with this game. But the route is like this (Retired from Aqfaq's post on the topic): 1. Get bowl 2. Get pebbles 3. Get mushroom 4. Get key (from the gnome) 5. Unlock door - Open door 6. Look at hole - Get slingshot 7. Use slingshot (to kill the giant) 8. Get chest 9. Push rock - Look at hole - Get dagger 10. Cut rope - Get bucket - Lower rope - Climb 11. Swim - Fill bucket 12. Throw water (to bypass the dragon) 13. Get mirror 14. Give bowl - Fill bowl - Get fiddle 15. Eat mushroom (to enter the cave) 16. Use fiddle (to bypass the leprachauns) 17. Get shield 18. Open castle door. 19. Talk to the king Also, I tested the dagger and doesn't kill the dragon. Now the cave route, probably needs a test route.

Now both Kenseiden runs can be improved! I found an improvement on this stage: Link to video Now you can pass that snake without killing or taking damage.

Thanks for the temp encode challenger. (My net sucks right now and it takes forever to upload stuff, so it's appreciated.) I think next I wil ltry to tackle Tails' Sky Patrol. I'm feeling pretty motivated at the moment so hopefully I can make some progress.
Thanks! SMS / GG console is one of my favorites on TASVideos And because since I have free time for a while (and now I learned how to encode better), I can upload stuff. Well, good luck on Tails' Sky Patrol.

Wow, you worked very fast on this game. Really nice work! Temp encode: Link to video 9 left. Also, if you decide to choose another dega run to improve, what will the next?

I'm impressed that this run is faster even with extra features and battles.

I'm agree with FractalFusion. Also, saving Beat only on Cossack 1 does count for the perfect score or it's really necessary to also save it on Skull Man stage?

Well, I only recorded avi. But I recreated this pause bug. I tested on the other bosses and I found only 3 bosses with this mess: Same boss above (third boss): http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/183134623/Kenseiden-bug-pause-third-boss.bk2 Another boss: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1231143950/Kenseiden-bug-pause-another-boss.bk2 And the last boss: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/346715547/Kenseiden-bug-pause-last-boss.bk2 And the test on third boss on dega 1.16 MAME core: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1829523819/Kenseiden-third-boss-dega.mmv I also tested with some other versions of BizHawk [1.11.4 (the most earlier version that I still have), 1.12.0 and 2.2] and the problem is still present.

I could watch this on emulator but I don't have the 0.02 version. So, I'll wait for an encode. EDIT: I posted after Baddap1. Thanks for the ROM.

I noted a bug on Kenseiden: if you pause this game with this boss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHaPzZppwwA (I tested only him. Probably can be occur with another boss) Since I have the dega emulator, I also tested and the bug doesn't occur.
