Great work on this game again. It's still surprising finding new improvements since most of the game doesn't last long so much thanks to very fast physics (and glitches). Yes vote.

I remember watching the old TAS when you submitted it, and this game was entertaining + a lot of action. 6 years and 2 months later... The new wallzip is great! Great work optimizing the entire game again. Yes vote.

Sonic Blast is an interesting game to TAS, and I loved working on that back from 2017. I'm more surprised with the upper route at the start of Red Volcano 2, because the jump up looked impossible given the stiff gameplay physics, so I didn't test at all. Very neat! The water current from Blue Marine 1 is the main enemy of this act. I'm not sure if the pipe route on Blue Marine 2 was tested before (I lost my project months after the publication), but avoiding the sucker back would be unlikely for me. Glad both skips are actually possible after all the years :) Green Hill Zone looks much more polished with the improved speed management knownledge (I focused avoiding the rings rather than rolling down a hill - my bad), and I liked the route change on Sliver Castle 2 - doing many jumps under the spikes and taking damage at the end not only for losing rings but to allow a faster turnaround was clever! Excellent work on this game and yes vote.

What the... Oh My God! The published run looks perfectly very solid and now someone managed to beat it by only one frame? Great job! Yes vote for me :)

What a great way to start this month! You guys did a great job with Super Street Fighter II Turbo seven years ago and now a TAS of the original Street Fighter II comes here too? Great playaround and some WTF moments by almost softlocking this game sometimes xD also the Bonus stages were entertaining too. Yes vote.

Wow the demo glitch is luck manipulation hell (and neat). Great work beating the boss rush despite having almost no weapon upgrades for Opa-Opa ;) Yes vote.

Finally the long-awaited improvement for this game comes here :) I remember watching some of your progress on discord, and the optimization turned out pretty impressive than I expected. Also great job polishing the game mechanics even further, expanding the window duplication glitch on the first stage, and skipping the entire forest stage. Yes vote.

Nice new finds. It's surprising this game still has another hidden shortcut after all these years. This run now looks much more solid than before, excellent work once again and yes vote!

I nominate ShesChardcore for doing a very very unusal crazy amount of movies in a year, aiqiyou for another year of skilled projects and eien86 for beating several NES games with the help of a bot.

Forgot to comment before, but nevermind. Great job on this TAS! I'm surprised you can skip most of this game straight to the latest battles. Yes vote. Also welcome back ;)

Wow that was fast! You worked and finished the any% TAS much faster than I expected, so really great work :) Some of the new glitches and tricks were already seen on the published 100% TAS, but this time you found some new fantastic stuff, like skipping the Spider transformation , obtaining the Tinkerbat form and the Transition Clipping included on the fourth dungeon. The execution looks more polished this time, and no more waiting time for the Zombie Caravan. Yes vote and congrats for beating this game under a hour.

I tested that 1st pit years before, while the second one it doesn't seem to work. Even if the second one could work, unfortunately the height is high enough for an unavoidable fall death as soon as he lands on that raised floor from the room below (tested it by cheating x position as soon as he reaches the next screen from the first pit).

I was aware of the old run years ago, but I forgot to watch it before, so... A silly game that includes a very silly character (the game title makes sense xD), animation & gameplay style which resembles Prince of Persia, and some broken physics... nice combination. The game itself looks boring, but the TAS actually made this game look good thanks to the great optimizations and some game-breaking sequences. Great work and yes vote.

This game is easily one of worst NES games ever, but at least there's an interesting warping movement to get all the clocks while riding so fast during the entire game. Good job and yes vote.

That's very interesting! A couple of questions -- At the end of Level 16, I hear some very fast menu navigation. As far as I know, there is no reason to make any changes to settings, or controls. So why is there any extra menu noise here? Surely this is adding to the frame count. (Well, maybe I can guess -- Are you resetting sound from Mono back to Stereo during music replay, so no real time or game time is lost, and this is theoretically improving playback quality? lol) Sound is changed from Stereo to Mono as a consequence of the Warp Glitch. This is an indication that it successfully enabled Kill Button. There are other Warp Glitch patterns which do not activate Kill Button, and in these cases, sound is not switched to Mono. Also, I noticed you are no longer pulling up the Select Menu at the end of the Jaffar fight on Level 20, inside the Arena. Did you determine that it did not save a frame in this instance? Or did you forget it? ======= I will be curious to see if this Level 17 death improvement will be consistent for human RTA. Who knows what may cause the skull patterns to change? lol.
Yep I reset those settings to default, since waiting for stage clear message is unavoidable anyway. About Level 20: this time I was 1 frame faster without the Select Menu for some reason. The entire skull pattern is timing based, and you can manipulate it by delaying the boss room entrance or taking advantage of Select Menu during the unavoidable waiting in the boss room. I'm not sure if this strat would be RTA possible, because this one requires a good RNG manipulation, when taking damage the prince normally is stunned but this problem can be avoidable by taking damage with precise positioning next to the exit gate. Since you have 3 HP instead of 4 HP (you gain 1 more HP at the end of Level 15), you must lose 2 HP, so for the second cycle you must be extremely close to the gate then turnaround when the skull falls down very close to you (great timing), clipping through the gate sucessfully and dying at the same time.

You enter the Boss Room two pixels ahead (x183 instead of x185), allowing him to reach the exit a bit faster than my TAS. About Level 19 Boss Rush: the waiting time isn't affected at all if you kill them a bit later as long as they are still in the air (for instant death animation). Well, while Level 17 will require some testing, I have new updates for this project: - I added that Level 19 improvement you've pointed out recently, after the first wall clip. 0 real-time frames gained in this room but 1 time unit faster, and the transition for the next room was shortened by a frame. - Improved the section after the second wall clip by attempting a turnaround once finishing that running jump, gaining 3-4 frames. Here's the movie file: https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638053430271228576 And great news: while we can't avoid killing prince in order to fix a nasty problem for Level 20, it's actually possible to kill him while finishing Level 17. Yeah I implemented that same Level 17 boss skip from my "no warp glitch" TAS, gaining 3 seconds for not resetting the game but this game remains blindfolded until reaching the princess cutscene before Level 20 starts. Here's the new full TAS without Level 17 reset: https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638053435032062832 (somehow Level 20 ending is a frame slower than the other movie file posted above)
