I added an encode to the submission text. I don't really remember the previous movie, but I enjoyed the movements you did for entertainment in the autoscrolling levels and boss battles. I can't say I found the run very entertaining overall, so I'm voting No, but it's a good improvement and I see no reason why it shouldn't be published.

That's one cool hovering glitch! Good luck on your speedrun, and I hope you decide to work on a TAS in the future.

is this the game of the anubis series or not?
There is actually (luckily) no Anubis series. The game you're thinking of refers to the character's title of "Anubis, the Second", and is not a sequel of any game.

Great work! I liked the heavy use of doing two things at once to save time.

Thanks for posting another one of these, Spikestuff. I'll add it to Wiki: Interviews.

Nice to see this finished! I enjoyed the broken Rayman levels, and while the Globox ones moved pretty slowly, they didn't last very long. Late yes vote!

I also agree with the three people above. The entirety of Phil's movie is contained in adelikat's run; he should be added as co-author if his run's going to be obsoleted.

what is the difference between threefold, treble, triple?
Threefold and triple have nearly the same meaning: something multiplied three times over. You could either say "this crystal will increase my power threefold" or "this crystal will triple my power"; there's basically no difference. -Fold expressions aren't used very often, but "tenfold" is the most common one I've heard, and it means the same as "multiplied by ten". Triple is used much more often, as in "triple points" and "triple cheeseburger". In informal speak, you would want to use "triple". Treble is a music term as far as I know, the opposite of bass. I don't think it has any relation to the other two terms or the number three.

I don't think the problem is with this run; I have the same desync on reset with the Ocarina of Time MST run, even with a fresh download of reset-recording Mupen. I'm pretty sure Mupen-reset-rec runs used to work on my old computer a few years ago, but I haven't gotten them to work on this one. Maybe it is computer-dependent.

Good luck! I only watched the WIP encode, but it looked pretty good, though maybe a little improvable. Glad they released a BizHawk that works for your computer.

Oh, that looks cool! Nice work. I can't seem to download the file you linked though. Is Microstorage down? EDIT: Looks like the problem was on Microstorage's end. I successfully downloaded the file today, good demonstration movie.

I keep the sound on while frame advancing so I can be tuned in to the game. Plus, if I didn't, I'd be TASing in silence. It also helps me sync dances to the music and such.

I'm having the same desync problem after the reset, even with the build thecoreyburton posted. I have seen the run thanks to sonicpacker's encode, but it would be nice to help verify sync for this run in Mupen. I also followed TASeditor's instructions for syncing the run in BizHawk. The movie desyncs around frame 54300 while trying to get the 23rd star. Mario kills all three Pokeys but only collects one of their blue coins, then grabs a tree and eventually runs into a wall. The file is here if anyone wants to see it.

The "amount of tool-assisted finesse" is definitely there for the Stars tier, but I wonder how impressive this run would be to someone who doesn't know the game at all.
As someone who's never seen this game before, I found this really cool to watch, and a beautiful demonstration, as others have said. It was really easy to watch and enjoy, a lot like keylie's earlier Braid run. I second the nomination for Star, and vote Yes, of course!

I like it so far! The first stage may be slow, but it sure looks really cool, as does Leia's charge attack. Have a complimentary Game Select entry for picking up this game (you can use it when uploading WIPs).

I think you should do the 11-floor warps run first, and then if you want, make a run through all 100 levels "warpless" and obtain the special "best ending". Both of those runs should be acceptable on the site no matter what.

Man, that was hard to listen to. I liked your movement in the run though; you managed to make the controls look okay. It's less than a minute, and I did watch it through, so I'm voting Meh.

Hey aldelaro, nice to see another post from you. I went ahead and compiled your information, and the other useful information in this thread into a Game Resources page for this game. Feel free to edit it if you see anything that needs fixing.

Always great to see new BizHawk releases. A lot of really nice little improvements and features in this one that make the TASing process easier. Thank you, BizHawk team!

Nice work! That last level looks like it'd be a long one without the punch-hopping trick.

Really good page, feos! I think it summarizes the whole experience of approaching a TAS well. The "Love" section particularly stood out to me because I've noticed I really do fall in love with the game and the process of TASing it as you're working on it, even if it's considered a "bad" game.

Looks good, I didn't notice any problems. I liked the entertainment in the autoscrolling stages, especially the Dash one with dancing around the bullets.

There was a recent discussion on the inclusion of not-very-entertaining board game runs on the site. If you want to help get these kinds of movies published, you should post there. There are a lot of runs like Star Control II and Virtual Bart that were cancelled or rejected for technical or optimization issues. Most of those games are publishable, but new runs that fix the issues will have to be made first. For now, at least these three movies have a home on Gruefood Delight.
