good job on the tas theenglishman. i'm suprised by the graphics in this game. this game looks more realistic than mgs4. it's because of the pixels. in mgs4 they didn't put any pixels in the game, so it looks like snake, meryl and everyone is made of plastic.

Let me just get this out of the way... The emulator's name sounds like a headache prescription that includes "May cause high blood pressure" in the list of symptoms. There. That's out of the way.

Why does this sound different then before? The old one started with track two and then went to track one. Also track 14 is a min long and there's no way the whole thing plays. I'll just cut it off at the load screens
It seems the way we (or our programs) are interpreting track positions is different; track 1 for me is game data, track 2 the first song. For you, the game data is skipped and track 1 becomes the first song. Thus, my 2 is your 1, and my 15 is your 14. I don't know which way is standard, so sorry about the misunderstanding. (well, THAT blew up in my face...)

Triple post FTW? Anyway, I think the sort of thing that people are talking about are like the ballerinas. That was a very trippy sequence.

Not you, the bot. Bisqwit took an account that hadn't been used in five years and used that in place of the NVA.

It's worse. Much worse. The only thing worse than that is sleep paralysis.

I like to use Filefront. Glad I'm not the only one who had this issue. I suspected a ballooning filesize was the problem, but I replaced the files before I could check.

Yes, I was thinking about that last night as I was trying to sleep and realized that parsing it made no sense whatsoever. Made sense when I wrote it. Part of the joke perhaps?

Yes, thank you. Okay, final boss long enough? That one certainly took a while. And what kind of lesson are they teaching in the ending? "If your car breaks down, beat up the first person you see!" And what's up with Ronnie's various animations? I understand the guy wears size 42 pontoons, but that's no reason to be walking like that or doing the splits everytime you're airborne. Not a bad run. Congrats.

Alright, I have all the music cataloged. I did a little research with some other emulators and plugins to find out some sequencing things, and included the tracks that extend past the movie. I'm hoping it's accurate to the console.

I hope these will be helpful. They should be accurate give or take a few frames.

You speak as though you're familiar with the title. Yep, I did it. It's been sitting on the bench since early February. There may be some variety to the submissions thus far, yes, but the focus that's been given to Castlevania and the Megaman X games surprises me none.

Yes, remember how I said I'd probably be using the torch? Turns out I was wrong. I am very confident in my decision to use the bracelet for most of the game. The projectile destroying capability of the bracelet is only available when you're wearing the gold armor, so no go on that Woo. While you're at it, you should check out the completed movie. :P Call me if you have any other questions.

Well, I've decided to stop being a bum about the music synchronization. Until mz's idea of frame logging, or some other working solution, can be done automagically, I've decided to go through and log those frames manually. Wish me luck. On that note, does anyone here have a modded Playstation they can play this game on? I have some questions that such a thing can answer.

Against Astaroth and Nebiroth? No misses there. Their hitboxes are actually quite large; they're just covered by their nigh-impenetrable arms. I throw a couple of lances at them as they're forming so I can get a couple of early hits in. Glad you liked it. Edit: On second viewing, I see what you mean. Those lances actually strike offscreen, making it look like I miss when I didn't.

The encodes for more complex systems are much harder for the encoders to produce well. Punky Skunk for example has problems with audio synchronization.
I'll admit, about halfway through making it, my main motivation for finishing that run was to force this issue into a resolution. Probably would have worked better with a more popular game. Sadly I have no potential solutions to offer, so I'm probably part of the problem. :(

Obviously movie savestates would be slower since they are storing movie data. However, they shouldn't be that slow unless you have a really slow computer! IIRC, you have vista. Problem is, no developr does. So Vista is in a "Use at your own risk state". (Perhaps there is a Vista user would be willing to help fix Vista related bugs)
Obviously, but this has never been a problem for any emulator I've used, including the previous FCEUX. They've all taken at most a tenth of a second to load, maybe half a second to a second if the CPU was busy at the time. And I use XP. It's good to know I can safely get rid of those dll's, though. I'm not going to be dabbling in lua anytime soon. Edit[/b]: Yes, definitely something is up with the new release. I just re-downloaded 2.0.3, and the movies and save states created with the new version took forever to load with it, but went back to no time at all as I started replacing them with the older version.
