Since no one is active on irc at 8:40 (utc+1), please read this: <MESHUGGAH>someone from the higher tier? 3752S doesn1t uses highest difficulty and also doesn't improves the gameplay, I have a 56 frames faster and still can be improved much more <MESHUGGAH>but I feel it awkward that I vote yes for entertainment and basicly write down why it doesn't should be pubished And I think that choosing south could be faster because you can use the "green" level which is the fastest imo (you just have to go down once with the horses and rush the enemy while other levels needs to get the horses to up and down for the horses and the artillery).
I will make and submit a "playaround" TAS of this game, featuring hardest difficulty, Indians, the North Carolina seaport, rainy weather on at least one battle, and a complete play through of at least one of the side-scrolling platforming levels. It will come soon!

I make my encodes using Windows Live Movie Maker, because it is pre-installed on my laptop. An example of an encode of a movie I didn't submit is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTL6WHDlau8 . It is made by me, robknightfilms. But back to the "North and South" TAS. What chances do you think there is of it getting published?

I've commented on the video right now! (As robknightfilms, my YouTube channel name. I have encoded one of my previous submissions, Monopoly done in 8 minutes, so check that out, even though I have cancelled it!)

I understand.

That may be the case, Radiant! Oh, and NitroGenesis, it is exciting when it is played for longer (i.e. the side-scrolling platform levels). ...I may have phrased that wrong.

Yeah, @CoolKi - oops, my mistake - CoolKirby, I think the currently published run got a meh vote for the same reason!

I have made a new submission of this game that improves upon this one by 37 frames! Download it at http://tasvideos.org/submissions/3752.zip , and discuss it at http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13451 ! Edit: I've been bested! Because I cannot best my bester, I will make another submission!

I get it. But still, it would be nice to find a ROM that works.

For some reason, every dump I download is just a gray screen for the whole time when I load it on FCEUX, even the one with the ROM name of the current any% record! ---- Edit by FractalFusion: Deleted ROM request. ROM requests are not allowed. http://tasvideos.org/SiteRules.html

Through playing on Wii Virtual Console, I've concluded that it is indeed possible to play World 1 B-less. All the other worlds...well, I never can beat them in realtime, so I don't know.

Hi, all! What if I do a run of this game B-less (if I can find a way)?
That's what I said. Has this game been done B-less? No. Can it? I think so (even if it takes a long time)!

A better category would be "fastest level overflow", to the point where the game returns to level 00. That's less arbitrary than "level 100". That said, such a category wouldn't be publishable material anyway, because the run...wouldn't add that much to the existing published material. It would, however, still be quite an interesting run, if you do decide to make it.
I agree. However, can I work on it, even if it doesn't get published?

Masterjun, my goal would have to be "fastest level 100", or something similar.

I saw the videos linked to by OmnipotentEntity, and it starts to get glitched as soon as you reach level 30! If you look closely, you will notice that it shows up as 00, and it goes on from there.

Can I make one that plays past level 29? I heard it gets all glitched up after 29!

I'll work on that (and get more of the point bonuses that you missed)! Edit by JWinslow23: I'm at the first boss of Level Alpha (past him, actually), but I feel as if I'm missing some points. WIP soon to come, so Randil can give me ideas on improvements!

Could be useful! Do you mind if I collaborate with you on a Star Force TAS, @randil (oops, sorry! I mean, Randil)?

@tasvideosrandil (oops, sorry! @Randil), I of course am serious about this! (Also, I may never get anywhere with NES Monopoly, this was on the site wishlist, and it looks interesting to TAS, so why not?) I want all the technical details, including and especially the point values and RAM values!

Also, do you believe if I learn C++ or how the RNG works (or even how to run that luascript thingy), your 4 cpu run could be "obsoleted" by manipulating 9, or possibly 14, rolls after end of input?

I know, but I have no idea how C++ or the RNG in this game work! To me, it's a bunch of values and numbers! I always use trial and error to get the order of cards, the dice values, the AI behavior, etc., but it is never perfect! HELP ME!
