I apologize, but unfortunately, I did not find this run to be very entertaining. It is indeed a very good TAS, and it clearly took a lot of work to complete, so it is indeed still very highly impressive. But as far as entertainment goes, I'll start by saying the game looks very bad. The concept of the game is mildly interesting, but the game looks so mazey and annoying and hard to follow. I would probably highly dislike playing Dr. Franken casually or otherwise myself. The game has a moderate-slow pace, and the music in the game is quite dull and unimpressive. The run and the game tend to repeat themselves. A lot of the rooms either are the same or look exactly the same, which gets sort of irritating to the brain. This is, by all means, no fault of the runner. The TASer clearly has advanced knowledge of the game, and TASes of this game, as for almost any game, should be encouraged. Someone other than me, especially someone who knows the game well, and probably someone who likes it, would certainly enjoy this run. Unfortunately, I have to say that I was not at all entertained by this TAS, for the reasons mentioned above. A lot of it was also mentioned in the judge's notes, so clearly some others share my opinion. I voted no to this run, with no less respect for the runner.

I understand that I am the creator of this run, but I still have the ability to give objective feedback to at least some degree. I think it's appropriate to do so after the movie is published rather than before. The game seems to be unattractive to many people from the surface, but once you dig deep enough into the game and the TAS, you understand how awesome the glitches are. Extremely large portions of some levels are skipped. The autoscrollers show some very nice antics and entertainment. Though the gameplay is generally pretty slow-paced and gets somewhat repetitive after a while, you can expect the unexpected when watching this run. The last level was a complete glitchfest surprise; the most perfect ending I can think of. Overall, the run itself is mildly enjoyable, but the discoveries and mechanics abuses are key, and because of that, I enjoyed this run. I voted yes.

The TAS has its ups and downs, but mostly ups. The game seems to have a very slow pace to it, which takes away some of the entertainment value in the action. However, despite this, there is indeed entertaining movement and action in this game to a degree which I can enjoy. I would have liked it if you did more entertainment playing around on the elevators, during waits (if possible), though you did do some of that. Overall, though, this run was quite enjoyable for me, and the game is quite cute, though I've never seen the anime. I voted yes.

I have already watched this run a few times actually. From an entertainment perspective, this TAS seems to pretty much solely involve walking in a straight line and kicking people's asses quickly along the way. It's a funny and good game, indeed, and such simplicity is to be expected for this old of an arcade game. The fighting was quite an entertaining factor of the run, even if the only. Overall, I found the run mildly entertaining, but, of course, as always, highly technically impressive. I had to vote meh as far as entertainment. But still, awesome job.

I understand that I am the creator of this run, but I still have the ability to give objective feedback to at least some degree. I think it's appropriate to do so after the movie is published rather than before. This is quite a weird game, with some awkward physics that are probably difficult for people who don't know the game to understand properly. Despite this, the run is very fast-paced, and features some cool jump combos. The autoscrollers are pretty boring to me, though, I have to admit. Overall, I find the run quite impressive. I voted yes.

What an interesting, unique, and certainly underrated game. As for the TAS, I found it quite entertaining. I especially found the lab levels and other levels where you had to climb a lot especially entertaining. Though it is indeed a long game, the levels are quite short, at least as they are performed in this run. Overall, I definitely enjoyed this. I voted yes.

I have decided, from now on, to vote on and give feedback to every single TAS I watch on the site, and have decided to start watching more as well. So, you're gonna see a lot of comments from me on published movies from now on. I believe it's good for a TAS to have as much formal feedback as possible, no matter when the feedback is given. Anyway, as for this case... After watching the full TAS, I must say I am quite impressed by it. The beginning is sort of boring, I have to admit, but after you get at most 5 minutes through it, it becomes pure awesomeness. Despite the fact that the movement is generally quite slow, and that it's kind of hard to tell exactly what's going on just from watching it from the perspective of a person who doesn't know the game (which I don't), the TAS features some very impressive battle and platforming action. The game itself actually looks quite good; certainly complex to say the least. Overall, I enjoyed the TAS very much, and voted yes.

Say what you will, but this is quite an RSY kind of game. It's a 3-D "friendship simulator" game intended for young female audiences based on a girls' franchise made by LEGO. Though the game is certainly poorly developed and quite dull, there is quite a lot of content in the game, which would make any TAS of the game extremely long. For some reason, I've always found this game interesting in a TAS/speedrunning/glitchhunting sense, and I've been screwing with it for a little over a year. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoZMw6e_YIFFQyLF5C0AcblISde9FycZ3 This is a playlist of all the videos of glitches, etc., that I found in the game and was willing to upload. I'm only interested in doing a 100% TAS, since that's the only category that I can think of that would be particularly rewarding. However, this category would be extremely long as mentioned above, perhaps even extending to 3-5 hours. There's only one problem... On my DS game file (as of the time of this post), I was only able to get up to 94.5%, which is the most I've ever gotten. I have all the apparently existent images, and all but two badges (the Fashionista badge and the I Love Badges badge). The Fashionista badge I believe is unlocked by collecting all clothing items, which I was apparently unsuccessful at finding. I've been to every store that I could remember or find and scrolled through them several times, and bought everything I saw. I also noticed as playing the game that you also unlock certain clothing items if you do certain other actions in the game. I may be missing some of these actions, since all clothing that can be bought is apparently bought. The I Love Badges badge is presumably unlocked by collecting all other badges, which I obviously haven't done yet since Fashionista is still not unlocked. I've looked all over online, and it seems that no one else has even completed 100% in this game. There are no reliable walkthroughs of the game (really the only one I found was an unfinished YouTube video series). Because of this, I am planning to make a YouTube video series that goes through each part of the known game, like badges and images, and shows the exact steps on how to unlock them. After I show how to unlock everything besides Fashionista and I Love Badges, I may make a video showing the attempts I've made to unlock the Fashionista badge and show that my attempts were incomplete. Hopefully, someone will either help me find the way to do it or will already know how and show me. The major problem is that you can't make a 100% TAS or speedrun if you can't even complete 100% at all. I would totally be prepared to do the complete routing process and do testing and then finally start TASing the game, but I still don't have any clue how to complete the rest of the game casually. Any help would be appreciated if anyone knows how to help. I will update you further about this detailed walkthrough later as I will have uploaded some videos of it soon.

While I will say I did enjoy the ways you chose to entertain your audience with the jump mechanics, and your abuse of Dixie's slap boost mechanic, this run is still highly suboptimal for many reasons. You did improve on some things, like using the US version and doing the tricks you see in Avanor's speedrun, such as exiting course at the flagpoles, but there are still some things that need work. But there are still some things that stand out to me immediately about the run as suboptimal. I'm only going to go over the first world, as it pretty much sums up how the rest of this run should be treated. Here are some obvious problems with this run: * At least 10 frames that feos saved on menuing. Stop turboing stuff. * Though it could be seen as a speed/entertainment tradeoff, I don't believe in those, so it's a timewaster to me. Typing in a name there wastes a lot of time. * Frame 1745: He just went toward that curve, which wastes quite a lot of frames. He didn't go around it. * Frame 2180: He does a slap with Dixie at the beginning of the level. Every time you slap with Dixie (with the exception of hitting enemies), it is WAY SLOWER. What you're supposed to do instead to fix this problem is hold B before entering the level, rather than on the frames before it starts. * Frame 3200: That's an immediately noticeable problem right there. Spectrum doesn't get the 5 silver coins up above, on the right side of that shelter. There is a cannon that you do a teamjump to get up to that blasts you through that entire portion AND gives you 5 silver coins. It's very, very clearly faster, and it's unquestionable in my mind. * Beginning of the mill level: You used Dixie's slap again, but you just jumped this time, which still wastes some frame amount. * I need to mention that every time you use Dixie's helicopter, it wastes 3 frames, because that's the amount of wait time you have to use to do it. Don't use Dixie's helicopter unless it is REALLY necessary. * Frame 8038: I know for fact you could find a faster coin than this one to grab. And why is it the first coin you ever grab? * Frame 11218: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tbo5i-0nHg See this video for a faster method. * And you keep doing Dixie's slap at the beginning of the minigames too... * 17100: At the last spike thingy, you should hit it at the very edge of your shield, saving the most time, I believe. * 19400: You did the thing again where you went against the curves and wasted time. * Beginning of Level 3: Okay, you switch to Kiddie, and don't use Kiddie's rolling mechanic constantly, which is optimal. Kiddie's rolls save more time than when he just runs regularly. * 23607: That boost was good, but you should've waited a lot longer before cancelling it. * 23900: You missed that coin that was literally right there. * 26225: You didn't jump soon enough, so there were some frames where you were still on that slope, which wastes time. * 30600: You were on the slope right there again for too long. * 31970: It may be faster in the SNES version, but not in GBA I believe. Doing this level twice is far slower in this version AFAIK. * When you entered reentered the level, you jumped while on that elevator in an attempt to entertain. That's a HUGE no-no. See, every time you jump, the elevator slows down just a little, which delays the amount of time it takes you to get up where you need to go. * 34700: You jumped too late. * I didn't mention all the specific times you still used Dixie's slap at the beginning of every level, but you did do that. Things you need to work on are your routing for the silver coins. The silver coin routing is very complex, as there are so many of them in the game but only 75 needed. Really, some of those basic improvements I just mentioned, like avoiding the curves being faster when swimming in those parts I mentioned, and not slapping with Dixie's hair at the beginning of levels, are things that a TASer of the game should just know. TASing is not something you can just complete in a week, or even two weeks, like TASing is, ESPECIALLY in the case of this very complex game. TASing is very difficult, time-consuming, and HAS to be perfect. I assume you are used to the non-TAS speedrunning setting, due to the resemblance of this TAS to a speedrun of the game and because of the way you're TASing it in general. Sure, you can learn a speedrun in a short amount of time, and don't have to spend nearly as much time mending your mistakes, etc., but TASing is a LOT more than that. You have to know your game so well that there couldn't even be a doubt in your mind that it was even a couple frames short of perfect. The TASing setting is very different from the speedrunning setting, and it probably takes some time to get used to. But still, work on getting used to it. The silver coin routing, I must stress, is a HUGE deal, and you CAN'T do that in two weeks. I actually literally have to go through each silver coin in the game that even could be used in the run, and test it out and record how many frames it wastes. Basically, I have to find the 75 coins in the game that waste the least amount of frames. It's pretty clear that you didn't go through that process yet, and it's also clear that there are some coins you just flat-out missed. And this is all stuff you have to do OUTSIDE of TASing itself; you actually have to do this in some sort of testrun or just without recording at all. I advise that you please do not submit more runs of this game here. Instead, please use the TASVideos user files. That way, someone (like me) can check over your work and tell you what went wrong, so that you don't keep getting your runs rejected, and so that I don't have to go back and look for suboptimality anymore times to prove to the judges that it should be rejected. Not trying to be mean here, but please, do me that favor. Do us all that favor. Since I'm also TASing this game, you might want to consider joining forces with me on this project, since you clearly have a lot of knowledge about the game's mechanics and are interested in TASing it. PM me or add me on Skype (below) for details. I can also give you my Discord from there. If you'd like feedback on the entire TAS, rather than just that one world, tell me and I'll take the time to do a complete analysis. And really, this kind of TAS would be best if it were a coop submission.

Even in examples where the game is almost entirely sexual, I still think the game should be allowed (with a disclaimer; I think it's important to notify people of nudity or sexually explicit content before watching which they may be turned off by if they found out without knowing). I'll give you an extremely absurd, off-the-wall, and disturbing example: Let's just say there's a game that's a platformer (yes, where you run around, jump around, and actually do stuff), where the synopsis is entirely pornographic (and absurd); a man is running around naked, shooting out ejaculation at enemies to defeat them, and having sexual intercourse with the final bosses. (That is disturbing, I know, but it's just an example, and I don't know how in hell that game would ever get officially licensed by Nintendo etc., but IN THE CASE that it did...) Well, so regardless of the fact that the hypothetical game is literally all about sex, someone here finds a glitch that you can use in a lot of the levels (for instance, a through wall glitch) that saves major amounts of time in gameplay. This TAS should be accepted in my opinion. Regardless of the fact that a naked guy is running around having sex with things, the game's logic does not actually represent that (game IMAGES and AUDIO can represent human symbolism of any kind in any game, not the programming and logic of the game). The developers could have, for instance, replaced the nude man in my hypothetical game example with just a block running across the screen, and jumping around on the platforms, shooting smaller blocks at enemies, and just hitting boss battles which are larger blocks, and staying there for a while, and it would be the same logistically. Obviously, the reception of the game by humans would be different because the images represent different ideas, but it would essentially be the same otherwise. I remember a video I watched a long time ago while YouTube surfing of a texture in SM64 where Mario was intended to appear to be running around naked, but that didn't change the actual gameplay at all, for example. (not that such a texture could be used on a TASVideos TAS lol, since any external textures usually aren't allowed, but I'm just saying) I don't really care about the images in a game as much as I care about the way they move and how they interact with each other, which is what the game REALLY is. If the movement is shocking or entertaining in the perspective of the movements done rather than of the sexual, etc. symbolism, then it should stay no matter what ideas it represents symbolically. Sure, there are a lot of really immoral aspects within some games, such as theft (GTA), murder (most FPS games), rape (Custard's Revenge), and torture (probably others), not that I'm advocating for any of these things to be done in reality because I'm certainly not, but in the games, no matter how offensive they are or how immoral it would be to actually do the things they represent are, there is no actual value in those ideas in the logic of the game, which is what TASing's focus is supposed to be.

I don't believe in any kind of censorship. I believe strongly in free knowledge and free use. I know many will disagree with me, but that's just my opinion. As such, if I had it my way, the site would allow pornographic/violent submissions for the Vault or something, with some sort of disclaimer so that people know that they're about to see a TAS of a graphic game, both in the video and the publication text. But no one will listen to just me, and really it looks like I'm the only one who wants this. I don't think of games as any more than programs. Sure, they can have offensive or politically incorrect things on them, but in the end they're just programs, that can be exploited just like any other programs, and that's what TASing is for.

Now that this run has been published and I've seen all the feedback beforehand, I feel it's appropriate to give my opinion of the run. Though I am the author, I voted Yes. This is partially because I'm proud of this project and of the tricks/glitches it represents. I know that before I opposed the fact that a movie's author could vote on their own movie, but I've changed my mind and feel it is actually constructive, especially after their movie's publication. So I'm going to pretend that I never TASed this game in my life, and that I just played it a lot in my childhood or something and know a lot about it because of that. Okay, so, yes, the same music plays throughout 97% of the game. Yes, the character is slow a lot of times. Yes, the game was an advertisement for a product, literally, so that hints at the game's development value. But it's not all that bad. I've definitely seen far worse games than this, and, for an advertisement game, this is like gold compared to most of its sort. The casual gameplay is not incredibly annoying, the game is creative and there's a lot of exploration of different environments involved, and you are required to...you know...platform; actually do stuff, as feos said. This sort of adventure is one thing that makes the game interesting. So why is the TAS entertaining? Because of the jump combos. There are sequence-breaking tricks in every single level, which all look pretty cool IMO. The Mañanitos' speed makes things look a lot cooler when used. The game is being taken advantage of highly in the TAS. I think this is definitely a game where it is underrated because of the general viewers' lack of experience with the game, as has been mentioned many times. Those people who would know the game at least fairly well (at least enough to know where stuff is and what you have to do in each level), would probably have voted Yes as well, because the tricks show that the game's physics are being highly taken advantage of. Hopefully one day someone, or better yet some people, with actual long(ish)-term experience with The Morning Adventure, will see this TAS and be shocked by it. Of course, so few people actually know the game that this may or may not ever happen.

One site that I've found can be very useful for individual-word translations is Wiktionary. Wiktionary not only defines all sorts of words in all sorts of languages, but also is available IN all sorts of languages for that same purpose. https://sv.wiktionary.org/wiki/submission The Swedish Wiktionary gives quite a few translations from English to Swedish of submission, for instance. I don't know whether that will be helpful or not, but just throwing that out there in case it is of any help, and in case it may be of help in the future.

Thank you. I believe pages like MovieRules and WelcomeToTASVideos are good starts, as pages like this will probably need the most translations.

No matter how good (or bad) the project is, the category is too "gimmicky" to be accepted. These kinds of projects are ones I'd post on my YouTube channel without submitting them here, or put them into userfiles. An example of runs I've done in the past that follow this example would be "game over speedruns". I don't think those can really be accepted here. For instance, Super Mario 64: "Kicks Follow Every Jump" would probably not be accepted here, even if it was fully optimized. If you want to submit to TASVideos, not only should you be careful with gameplay, but also with category. Think about whether a category could be accepted here or not before starting the project, or at least before planning to submit that project.

I've now created separate topics for all 10 languages mentioned above of which Mothrayas has approved. These topics are listed here (not listed by priority but alphabetized by language code): * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19463 German (de) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19458 Spanish (es) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19460 Finnish (fi) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19457 French (fr) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19462 Italian (it) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19455 Japanese (ja) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19459 Portuguese (pt) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19456 Russian (ru) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19464 Swedish (sv) * http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19461 Chinese (zh) I thank you all so much for your enthusiasm in all of this. I will help in any way I can. Additionally, there are other languages in the world. There may be future consensus to include more languages than those above. If you are willing to translate into other languages than those above, I advise you not to hesitate. I have a personal website and would be more than happy to archive our translations into currently non-approved languages such as Greek (already mentioned), Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Danish, Dutch, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Romanian, among many others, in case they will ever be accepted. I suggest to PM me specific translations in such languages if you're willing to take the time to do this. Nonetheless, I'll try to do some translating myself. I'd say the language I'm most knowledgable in lexically is Danish (I have some rather distant family members from/in Denmark, which sparked that interest), though I've seen extremely few Danes in the TASVideos community, and all that I've ever seen are extremely inactive that being said. I have some intermediate knowledge in other languages too, like Spanish and French, but I feel it'd be more useful to have our natives translate those as I'm not nearly as good as them at it. :)

In light of http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19444 this topic (I ask that you please read it before posting here), I am announcing to all users familiar enough with the Swedish language to please help out with translating site pages from English to Swedish. I am creating this topic as discussion for this language specifically. Swedish is one of the 10 non-English languages that Mothrayas thinks would be significant enough for translations of pages on this site. By "pages", I'm referring to the HTML pages on the main TASVideos site, like http://tasvideos.org/WelcomeToTASVideos.html . Please help out with translating pages from English to Swedish if you can. The site, at the time of posting, really badly needs page translations, as a lot of Swedish speakers visit this site. All help and discussion will be much appreciated.
