It says that I saved a state there, but it looks so small that I have trouble reading it. Is there not a way to make the green text stuff bigger? (I circled it in red for easier visualization).
I have a question. What's snes9x-rr's inner window resolution size if I choose x4 on "config > video" ?
I need to know the correct resolution so I can record with a certain program here.
Thanks, but I'm having a new problem with the game now. Like... after beating the game once, my progress went to 64%, and I managed to make a movie about it. But if I start recording again, the emulator resets my progress to 0%.
The 64% keeps intact if I don't choose to record a new movie, though. I made a video about it that explains things better: http://www.2shared.com/video/8BhAXQHR/cvbug.html
I have no idea what's causing this. How can I fix that so the game will keep at 64% if I choose to record a new movie?
Do you guys accept no damage runs from games as well? Like clearing a shmup without losing lives/bombs, or finishing a beat 'em up without taking damage.
That's because clearing a game as fast as possible isn't really my forte, but I can do perfect runs, so I'm wondering.
I'm trying to make a no-damage run of a game here (Rockman 3), and my video is already complete, but I took damage near the end.
I was wondering if there's a way to run the movie file up to that point, then somehow take control again and do that to replace the commands in the movie file. How can I do that?
VM, really? Why can't I just use a laptop instead?
Trying to use Fraps or something else to record my videos on a virtual machine would probably make stuff lag LIKE HELL. I really can't see why you're recommending a VM over a normal computer.
I'm considering buying a Laptop just for hourglass, because I can't get anything to work here on my Win 7 64 bits.
Does hourglass work on a Laptop with Win XP 32 bits as well or must it be a Desktop Computer?
Does that mean we'll have Arcade and Neo Geo compatibility!?
Yaaaay! I'm really glad to hear this, maybe I'll finally be able to make some tool assisted videos about those games with lower desync probability.
That's because apparently MAME isn't open Source. While FBA is.
I created the topic with Neo Geo in mind because I wasn't aware FBA was open source back then, but now I am. So yes, it's much better adding FBA's core than NeoRageX's in order to make BizHawk compatible with some Arcade games too.
lol, so what? You're confirming yourself this is open-source. Being distributable to anyone means that you're allowed to give the code to whoever you want.
1: Nobody here is going to sell, lease or rent BizHawk/FBA.
2: All games supported by BizHawk and FBA are above three years old.
Besides:
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/FB_Alpha
There's no English Wikipedia article, but the first paragraph says "é um emulador de código aberto" which translates to "is an open source emulator" (I can read Portuguese as well since I'm from Brazil).
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%B3digo_aberto
If you're still doubting it, click on the English version of the article above and you'll see how "código aberto" translates exactly to "open source"
You may freely use, modify, and distribute both the FB Alpha source code and binary, however the following restrictions apply to the FB Alpha original material (see below for a list of libraries with differing licenses, please consult their respective documentation for more information):
-You may not sell, lease, rent or otherwise seek to gain monetary profit from FB Alpha;
-You must make public any changes you make to the source code;
-You must include, verbatim, the full text of this license;
-You may not distribute binaries which support games with copyright dates less then three years old;
-You may not distribute FB Alpha with ROM images unless you have the legal right to distribute them.
So, I can see Virtual X68000 is an open source emulator according to this page: http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources/PotentialEmulators.html
Is it possible adding its core to BizHawk? I'd seriously LOVE some Sharp X68000 compatibility, especially because it has some really nice shmups.
I was wondering if it's possible to add Neo Geo compatibility for BizHawk, maybe in the future?
What I really wanted was making it Arcade compatible, but I know that's extremely complex. Neo Geo however is a home console with very few games, so I thought it'd be much simpler than adding Arcade compatibility.
Maybe you guys could use NeoRageX 5.0's core for that, since it's a good emulator. What do you guys think of this idea?
Just a couple questions: To help preventing desync issues, should I check the "read-only" option before starting the playback or not?
also, must my folder with the movies, emulator and stuff be checked as "read-only" as well? there are three options: checked, unchecked and a square. Which one should I choose?
lol, yeah... I was actually thinking Kega Fusion. Sorry about that, maybe my brain went afk while I was typing that.
So, dega isn't really good is it? is BizHawk the best option?
