  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Emulator used openMSX 0.8.1
  • BIOS used C-BIOS MSX2 BR
In the game, each level divided into 4 normal stages (correspond 4 emontion: 喜,怒,哀,楽. means glad, angry, sad and happy) and 1 boss stage, you must pass 4 normal stages to enter the boss stage. To complete normal stages, you should get the suitable emotion icons. For detail, see: http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/konami/usas/

Summary

Things you should know: 1. you can't push rock when you have glad emotion icon. 2. for each level, the original emontion icons of players are fixed, you loss your emontion icon at last level. 3. level 1 speed is slower than jumping. 4. you can level-up your speed, jump and recovery HP when you have enough icon.
Map 1: I choosed the 2nd stage(angry) instead of the 1st stage(glad) first because I must push rock here. Then I enter the 4th stage(happy) because the original emotion of the player I choosed is happy, so I can pass the happy emotion icon here.
Map 2: I got sad emotion icon in 1st stage because it would spend more time to get it in 3rd stage(sad).
Map 3, 4: Enter 2nd stage first due to player's original emotion.
Map 5: Got sad emotion icon in 1st stage. You can notice I spend a little time in a room of 2nd stage, actualy it's a manipulation of enemy moving in next room.
And thanks Vampier and scrimpeh for their help.
cancelled due to obvious mistake.

Other bios can't work for me except Cbios, it seems I don't have other bios file. But I felt it runs at same speed between Cbios BR and Cbios JP.

The BIOS must be real
I think this would need to be done on an actual system BIOS to be feasible to accept.

He used C-BIOS BR, which is 60Hz... But indeed, please check out this: http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/faq.html#tas and http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/faq.html#roms and http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/faq.html#whereroms A pity though, because he put a LOT of work on this TAS :S And I'm pretty sure that on a real BIOS it would work practically the same.

Would it be possible to copy the input, the rerecord count and the other informations into a new movie made with an actual system BIOS? As long as the BIOS has the same refresh rate and region?

Um, did I see it correctly that you missed to take advantage of double jumps with Wit when in the happy mood? (In the first level.)

Mister Epic: that's very unlikely to sync. The routines of the other BIOS will not be implemented the same and will take longer or shorter. But one can of course try it. Note that we did run this version of C-BIOS on a real machine, by burning it onto an EPROM and replacing the original EPROM with this one.

I could have warned against using c-bios a bit better. 1) when you are in a happy mood with Wit you can double jump 2) when you are in a happy mood with Cles you can walk in mid air for a short period of time. Please try the run again, I really like the run as you have it now.

Damn, I was hoping someone would throw out an encode, if it's that well received despite being an out-the-gate rejection.
