Basically this is an announcement that I am currently working on this. The game is sort of reminiscent of Double Dragon with Lightsabers, and has sort of an arcade feel. The game controls are literally horrible, and the original game was bug filled. These seem to be good ingredients for a TAS however.

I remember playing this game. I also remember bits being a pain in the ass, but I don't remember if I ever finished it. Still, it'll be nice to see your progress. Good luck!
<adelikat> I am annoyed at my irc statements ending up in forums & sigs

2 players? :D I'm very interested in watching this TAS. Also, it would be the first one we see of a PlayStation 3D-game. I hope you can upload a WIP soon...

I also very much want to see what happens when this buggy piece of crap gets hit by a TASer using frame advance. If it's anything like the Dreamcast version, then the utter brokenness of this movie is going to be astounding.

I'm done with level 1 - about 6 minutes. Massive desyncs at the final boss destroyed my will to continue messing with it. Some really fast strategies will be available, once the number of desyncs drop. Plus, The version I have seems to run at 50Hz, making me think I have a PAL version. Waiting for DeHackEd to support PXM's for a WIP.

A TAS of this game would be frigging amazing. I rented a DC and the DC version of this game once. It was quite good aside from the controls and the first boss(I like to think that whomever designed that boss has his own level of Hell waiting for him in the afterlife).

I hope to see this too :P I've played countless hours with the game a couple of years ago :P It was fun even with the awful controls :P

Here's the first level uploaded to google video. sorry about the crappy video quality. The only encoder that doesn't cause PCSX to crash on my machine is Cinepack by Radius.

Where is "here"? :P And what are you using to capture the video, .kkapture or PCSX's hotkey function?

We used to play this game all the time when it came out. I'd love to see it pushed to its limits.

LOL- oops. Here is uh.... here. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8253071291228647420&ei=0rp4Sb-dEJCq-wGrurWtBQ I used the command line option in v.006.ffdshow causes PCSX to crash, regardless of encoder I choose. CinePak works great, but the video looks like pure ass.

Yeah, it looks bad. But the runs looks great; I thought there would be a lot of fights, but I see you can skip most of them. It might be even better with some video quality and sound. :P By the way, I never could make your movie sync within PCSX. In v0.0.5 it would get this far: In v0.0.7 it doesn't even pass the first few selection screens until the middle of the movie approximately, and then he gets quickly killed by the robots once in game. Are you still using the same game? I only received the ".img" file, maybe there are ".sub" and ".ccd" files too that I need? Or you are using some non-standard plugins perhaps?

you should do 2 players (if possible).. i don't know if it is that entertaining to watch since all you do is run and run and sometimes kill the boss, you know.. well, if you're not in the mood to do it, i'll be looking forward to it anyways ^^ btw, there is some bugs related to death (and 2 players?) that should be useful, isnt it? i dont remember quite well because i played it many years ago >_<
