Hot Wheels: Extreme Racing is a licensed racing game that's based on the Hot Wheels brand of toy cars. It features a unique gameplay element where the vehicle you choose can transform based on the terrain you're racing on, with body shapes optimized for land, air, water, or all-terrain. It also allows for customizing the vehicle and all of the body shapes it can transform into, with the engine, wheels, wings, and other parts able to swapped to fit to your liking. Similar to other racing games such as Wipeout and Mario Kart, it has collectable powerups that can either be weapons or speed boosts.
