KING: A bullet-hell RPG is bullet hell-styled action game with platforming elements for the PICO-8 system. It takes the dodging mechanics found in bullet hell games and the small grid gameplay area that's been popularized by Undertale to create a combat system where the player has to defeat their opponent by reaching the red sides of the wall enough times without getting dying to the bullets. Each battle can be made easier by finding items scattered across the world that can either restore or boost your stats or give you special abilities.
Merl_ here makes strategic use of intentional damage taking to get through some of the denser bullet patterns found in some battles and beat the game as fast as possible.
