Blaster Master

Blaster Master was published in Japan by Tokai Engineering as Chō Wakusei Senki Metafight (超惑星戦記メタファイト, lit. "Super Planetary War Chronicle: Metafight") in June 1988 for the Famicom, and in the United States by Sunsoft as Blaster Master in November 1988. An European version was also published by Sunsoft in April 1991.
There are major differences between the Japanese and international versions, with Blaster Master having a new title screen, a new intro, a modified section in Area 4 and graphical changes. The European version has a few exclusive bugs such as stopping movement by pausing and allowing double (and more) jumping. Also in that version is a changed zip mechanism which allows warping through things you really shouldn't be able to warp through.

Blaster Master is a fairly long game involving a random hero that jumps down a hole after his mutant frog, finds a tank, and proceeds to blow up a few bosses and rescue said frog. It's complicated.
In this movie the hero gets bored with the tank early on, skips the bosses and mostly decides to just go straight to the final boss and blow him up. The frog is saved and dissected, and Biology 101 is passed. Hooray!
This movie plays on the European version of the game, which includes a few bugs such as stopping movement by pausing and allowing double (and more) jumping. A changed zip mechanism is also in the European version which allows warping through things you really shouldn't be able to warp through.
This publication beats the previous movie by 9 seconds.
If you would like to see more of the game, we also have a warpless Blaster Master movie here that plays on the US version.
Jason's pet frog escaped and got into some radioactive material underground. Naturally, there's a tank handy and Jason's first reaction is to go after his frog.
BrotherMojo improves the previous movie by 02:43.86 using better routes and more glitches. More information in Submission notes
This movie has a full Atlas Map encode, which shows the standard encode overlaid on a zoomed out map.
The baseline tab shows the default movie beating the game as fast as possible without any special conditions.
