About the Game(s):
Action 52 is an unlicensed game made for the NES and Sega Genesis, featuring - you guessed it - 52 different video games. The NES port was published in 1991, whereas the Genesis port was published in 1993. Both versions were published by Active Enterprises.
Ooze is game 4/52 in the Genesis port of Action 52. You play as a boy who has to shoot aliens and find keys to complete 4 levels. This version is very different to the NES version.
About the TAS:
This TAS aims for fastest completion, which means completing all 4 levels.
Menuing:
After waiting through a short pre-menu screen, skipping the Action 52 cutscene, selecting 04. OOZE on the menu and pressing S, we can start the game on frame 498.
Level 1:
  • Key 1: At the very start of the level.
  • Key 2: Down an elevator in a metal crusher. We can walk through the crusher if it's moving up, regardless of if we're in its hitbox or not.
  • Key 3: At the top of the level after jumping past another elevator.
  • Key 4: On the way down to the next section.
  • Key 5: In the first of 2 metal crushers.
  • Key 6: In the second of 2 metal crushers. We can crouch to go past it just in time instead of waiting.
  • Key 7: Between the 2 metal crushers and an elevator.
  • Key 8: After the elevator near a moving platform.
  • Key 9: At the end of a detour path. We either shoot at or jump over the enemies in our way, depending on the circumstances.
  • Key 10: Just under a path. This is quite a hard key to get in real time.
  • Key 11: Between 2 horizontal metal crushers.
  • Key 12: Near the final key.
  • Key 13: At the bottom right corner of the level.
Level 2:
In this level, we have to go to each bottom corner and collect 10 keys, jumping on moving platforms and shooting anything that tries to slow us down.
Level 3:
  • Key 1: At the very start on the highest ledge of the first section.
  • Key 2: Inside a metal crusher. Here we use a technique that allows us to fall further without dying.
  • Key 3: Down an elevator past the metal crusher.
  • Key 4: At the end of a tunnel.
  • Key 5: Directly below Key 3 on a hanging platform.
  • Key 6: On the same Y position as the third of 4 moving platforms.
  • Key 7: Down an elevator below the 4 moving platforms.
  • Key 8: Past both hanging platforms and near 2 horizontally moving platforms.
  • Key 9: Near the top of a column of platforms.
  • Key 10: Near the bottom of the same column, directly below Key 9.
  • Key 11: Near the top of another column of platforms.
  • Key 12: Near the bottom of the same column, directly below Key 11.
  • Key 13: In the first of 2 metal crushers.
  • Key 14: In the second of 2 metal crushers.
  • Key 15: Just before an elevator on the top of 5 ledges.
  • Key 16: On the highest platform in the level. We have to shoot 2 enemies here.
  • Key 17: Near the higher of the 2 horizontally moving platforms from earlier.
  • Key 18: At the end of a tunnel horizontally opposite the other one.
Level 4:
Exactly the same idea as Level 2, except this time, we end input after collecting the 9th key. From here, an acid bubble eventually kills us, and we conveniently respawn where the final key is.
Thanks for reading.

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: This is a much better version, over the Actions 52 NES collection. As for your run, it is very solid; however, I did find some frames...but they were eaten on the "moving platform" levels. Any cuts will alter the timing of those platforms and you would have to wait anyway. I'm sure that something could be found, but considering the amount of work it would take to make those cuts hold...I don't see that they would contribute negatively towards this submission. Besides, this TAS definitely shines over the human runs that I watched.
Accepting to "Standard" for publication.
