That's right! 3 new TASes finished in one day!
About the Game(s):
Action 52 is an unlicensed game made for the NES and Sega Genesis, featuring - you guessed it - 52 different video games. The NES version was published in 1991, whereas the Genesis version was published in 1993. Both versions were published by Active Enterprises.
Speed Boat is game 37/52 in the Sega Genesis version of Action 52. The concept is pretty much the same as Sunday Drive, Slalom and Magic Bean among others. 9 levels of autoscrolling where you have to dodge the objects and end input as early as you can. Except this time, you're steering a boat on a lake.
About the TAS:
This TAS aims for fastest completion, which means beating all 9 levels with the shortest input time possible.
Gameplay/Tech:
With this game (among a few others in the cartridge) essentially being an autoscroller, gameplay time is impossible to optimise, and input time is only meaningful in the last level. All we have to do is survive.
A couple of interesting footnotes here:
  • Level 1 doesn't require any input at all.
  • The losing a life trick as seen in Sunday Drive doesn't work here.
I don't really have anything much else to say about this TAS, so I'll finish the submission comments here. Thanks for reading.

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: This submission is similar to the goals of [5648] Genesis Action 52: Sunday Drive by LoganTheTASer in 08:23.08 and [5650] Genesis Action 52: Slalom by LoganTheTASer in 10:36.87, as that they are a race to the finish line...so to speak, while avoiding obstacles that behave slightly different. This was also confirmed by LGR's statement in his submission. Additionally, I checked the menu...its fine. This TAS also does what some of the others have done....end input early, yet death is not possible like some other Action 52 games to coast out even further on that early termination. Action 52 is becoming predictable and easier to check things out, making this submission easier to judge.
Accepting.
