Added Induviel as a co-author since he managed to save 3 frames over the submission file -

About the Game
Segapede is a 1994 prototype platformer made by Hidden Palace. You play as a turbo-powered centipede called Astropede and speed through a single short, generic level as fast as you can.
About the TAS
This TAS aims to complete this prototype as fast as possible.
This is 109 frames (1.82s) faster than eladogGames's submission and 24 frames (0.4s) faster than Spikestuff's userfile with "no actual effort".
Speed Management
Being in the air is slower overall, regardless of what degree the slopes are at, so we need to have as little air time as possible to go faster. There are two exceptions to this, however: The first is near the very start, where we jump from one slope to another and the second is one an intersting quirk I'll get to soon.
Lag Reduction
Lag can sometimes be reduced by not holding right for 1 frame. This usually doesn't lose any speed, so this is done as much as possible throughout the TAS.
Jump Glitch
This little trick was discovered by Spikestuff while they quickly put together a userfile to show that eladog's submission was suboptimal.
For this glitch to work, we need to land on the cobbled wall as early as possible and then jump on the 2nd frame possible. This gives us double the height and as a result, we are in the air for longer. This is usually a bad thing, but since it's near the end of the course, this is actually used to end input earlier.
There's not really much else to say about this TAS. Thanks for reading.
Samsara: Claiming for judging.
Samsara: The primary author has requested to be banned from TASVideos. Rejecting, as we do not allow submissions from banned users. Induviel may resubmit this run if they want.
