Introduction
Savage was a 1988 game for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64. It was later ported to the Amiga in 1989. The game is about the titular Savage, whose been imprisoned specifically so his love could be imprisoned elsewhere. There are three parts that are labeled Games chronicling Savage's journey. Game 1 is about Savage's escape, Game 2 is about Savage heading to the prison with the maiden, and Game 3 is about freeing the prisoners including his maiden.
The Amiga version is probably most known for the incredibly hot jams and the major glitch in Game 1 to practically skip all of it. I learned about this game from Kusogrande and I find the game quite interesting since it's a multiformat game similar to Bayou Billy and the like. I also figure that doing a glitched Game 1 TAS would be a good way of messing with the new Amiga core.

Also worth noting that this is an Amiga game that requires an Amiga 600 or better to run. The game runs into a fatal error when trying to use the Amiga 500 settings in BizHawk. I chose the Amiga 1200 for this TAS, although an Amiga 600 would also work just fine for this purpose.
Run notes
- Emulator used: BizHawk 2.10
- UAE core
- Amiga OS used: Kickstart v3.1 r40.068 (1993-12)(Commodore)(A1200)[!]
- Heavy glitch abuse
Extra notes
While walking towards the left wall at the start has the correct collision, jumping at it from a distance will let Savage just kind of ignore it. Repeatedly jumping by holding up is done to keep moving left until the game glitches out. After a pause, a brief bit of moving right and then throwing an axe left kills the glitched enemy that appears due to getting out of bounds. For some reason killing this glitched enemy and then running right jumps to the next level for levels 1 & 2. I'm not certain on why this glitch works but I think part of it is that the level wraps around when jumping past the left wall at the start. For level 3 the same jumping through the wall is done but the level ends when Savage falls down an invalid pit, which jumps straight to the end of Game 1 since it's only 3 levels long.
This is supposed to be a PAL game, as a note. Not sure why BizHawk says that this should be 60 FPS when it runs at the correct frame rate in the emulator.
nymx: Claiming for judging. (Going to try Amiga one more time!)
nymx: It took me a while to get set up on this, but I finally found the ROM and supporting firmware. Movie Syncs fine.
Well, I'm not sure what I just saw...but it was glitchy!
Accepting to Standard.
