This is a TAS of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing that aims to beat all 6 Cups in 13:26.797 In-Game Time. To sync this run, you must play this movie file before playing this movie.
Disclaimer: Some tracks beat the IL WRs without the Shoe item. Other tracks don't and can't beat them but try their best to be as fast as possible.

Game Objectives:

  • Aims to complete all 6 cups in the fastest time
  • Focuses on in-game time
  • Heavy glitch abuse
  • RNG Manipulation
Final Time:
  • TAS Timing: 21:52.052
  • IGT Timing: 13:26.797

Author's notes about the run:
  • While this TAS is WAY faster and more optimal than the last two I made that was rejected, I still feel like there could be more improvements somewhere, or new glitches and strats to be found. While I couldn't get some tracks to beat WR because of them having x3 shoes in time trials, I was able to beat some of them even without it. I finally decided to add the LRGs to Studio Amigo and Turbine Loop as I felt super lazy to do it in the previous submissions and I'm glad that I did and it improved the time by five whole minutes. I'm a bit upset that it wasn't sub 20 TAS timing but I am grateful for some people to encourage me to do better and improve my TASes. Now that I got this done, I will come back to this once I finish other full-game TASes that I need to finish (Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing but on Wii, and a new game I'm working on that I'm doing good at so far, Sonic Unleashed). Side note, I used two different versions of BizHawk, it was a dev version and 2.9.1. I originally had a few extra re-records but I forgot which dev version and where the old movie was.
Tech and glitches used in this run:
Wheelie Drifting
While this may look like a cheat code, it's actually in the game. By holding down-left/right and spamming the drift button by one frame, you can rapidly use the boost stored from drifting. However, if you alternate left and right while doing this, you can do this in a straight line.
Lap Respawn Glitch (LRG)
This glitch lets you skip majority of a race. To trigger this, you need airtime near the lap line. This resets the respawn checkpoint, so when you drive up to checkpoint 1, the respawn checkpoint will be set to 1 which normally can't set to that checkpoint. Because of this, you can respawn and get a 5 second lap (1 second when it's tracks that has respawn panels like Lost Palace).
Flash Skip
Similar to LRG, Flash Skip is a bit faster than LRG in Deadly Route but it's required in Highway Zero anyway because of how the track is made. It's confusing but from my understanding, this works because checkpoint 0 is intercepting with checkpoint 1 a lot so this causes instant lap times in laps 2 and 3.
CPU Bounce
So in this game, you can bounce off of the other racers like in Weatherton's Mario Kart 64 TAS. This works only as a plane character though so I used Opa-Opa for it. This saves time in Sewer Scrapes because you don't have to travel too far in and the other races after it doesn't require any Wheelie Drifting. This works because of how models and collision works in this game. When a racer is spun out, their collision is removed for only a few seconds. When another racer tries to stay inside the racer that was spun out, that racer is pushed out with a little burst of speed. Because plane characters have a small increase of height above the ground, Opa-Opa gets launched upwards to reset the respawn checkpoint much more faster than the original strat. This information may be a bit inaccurate as of the time this paragraph was made.
