Uh. What's with the harp that can be heard when Belger screams?
I like your attention to detail, Ferret Warlord! Final Fight, like many arcade games of that era, used sound samples recorded from movies to supplement its sound effects. The harp that can be heard at the end of the scream is the movie's music. Unfortunately, I have no specific information. I have tried for years to identify it.

This input file is edited to also remove the input to enter the player's initials http://triplepointwx.org/George/Shinobi.zip The time is 927. This may be the time to which the Submission Text refers. Please forgive the extraneous re-records.

Nice run. Definite yes vote. One question: What happens when both players finish the bonus stage with the same score? Do they both get the bonus "winner" points?
In Bonus Stage: Break Car, both Heroes cannot achieve the same score. The total available points is 33,000. Divided between the Heroes, this would be 16,500 points, but the minimum point value for damaging the Car is 1,000 points. In Bonus Stage: Break Glass, the Winner bonus is awarded to the Hero who destroyed more Glass, regardless of the points scored during the Bonus Stage. Destroying Glass with 2 attacks is worth 1,000 points, but destroying Glass with 1 attack is worth 5,000 points. As such, it is possible for a Hero to destroy more Glass but finish with a lower score than the other Hero. There are 16 Glass. If each Hero destroys 8 Glass, neither Hero receives the 20,000 point bonus for Winner.

This option will automatically take a savestate when you exit a game and load that state when you load the game.
This information is included in the file FBA.CHM located here: [Final Burn Alpha]\DOCS\FBA.CHM How To Use - Menus - Game Menu

Also, consider using Hardest difficulty.

It's good to see you challenge this game on Hard Difficulty, Meerkov. You will benefit from it as well.

That isn't the proper opening to the Toccata; compare it to the version in Dark Castle.
It's proper enough. Though not as cool as the version in Gyruss. :)

Thanks, jlun2. I had actually read that post before, but I forgot. And thank you for your efforts, micro500. I respect that you won't rush for the sake of superficial functionality.

Oops! Thanks, RobynS! Apparently I knew this at one point, as it was in my list of arcade TAS ideas. Reading the Forums might have helped as well. XD I agree with Alyosha that the arcade version should be preferred over the SNES port. BrunoVisnadi, I understand that it is asking a lot of you, but please give the arcade version some consideration. It looks and sounds better, and a 3 player, 1 credit game at maximum difficulty would be amazing! It's never fun to have to learn how to use a new program, particularly a delicate one like FBA-RR, but not every game is a minefield of desyncs and crashes (Magician Lord). In this case, all games that share the Double Dragon III core are quite stable and as fully-featured as just about any game that FBA-RR supports.

Sadly, the arcade version of The Combatribes is not supported by Final Burn Alpha.

Thanks for sharing this! May I have your permission to use this technique in the TAS that I'm working on?
