Geez, you have made some progress!! If you find a way to beat this guy you're nearly done with the TAS (after garuberk dark force the return and well, you know, the big hole in motavia). That's astounding. Anyway, I was floored when I saw your extremely aggressive strategy for the 3 air castle guys. Nice kill. If you can't manipulate Lasheic's attacks then I don't really know. Maybe level build in the castle (I'm not sure how much that would help). Good luck and keep trying though.

Yes very nice work. You really beefed Rune up during the level up time, which is good because he's so awesome. I remember beating Dark Force the first time I played PS4 just with Wren (using his Flare shot and recover). My party was in pretty bad shape at that point! Yours seems very good though. Keep up the great work!

Hmm. Well option 2 definitely looks a lot cooler. But since this is a TAS designed for fastest completion time I guess you should go with option 1. Have you thought about how much meseta you'll need to get through the game? I can't even remember what you'd need it for since most critical weapon/armor upgrades can be found during gameplay and not necessarily at the shops. However even so, I don't think 250 meseta is much in the scheme of things.

Ok, savestates for all! I was bored so I made several (the one DK64 provided won't work on this latest WIP because Guano redid that bit. As well as the owl B text-skipping goodness I see). These work for me, but I've no idea if they'll work for the rest of you. Let me know if they do. They're hosted on a fast server anyway so it's not too big a waste of time to try. In Link's house, just before gaining control Start of Deku Tree Just after the conversation with the owl in Hyrule Field Start of Haunted Wasteland

Hehe, I know, I just think it's funny that directly translating the Swedish expression turned into something nasty. And since I'm Swedish too I'm allowed to pick on it. ;)
Heheh, so true. I wish he would post a WIP of his latest, violently cummy idea because I'm so bored this evening ;p

I wouldn't be too picky ;) For a Swede, his English is better than a great deal of native English speakers on internet forums :D

Ill return to my owl/fisherman points and redo them and see what I come up with and repost up to the Wasteland. The fisherman just wont shut up it seems like ;) Damn loudmouth.
Unless this is a real run, there's really no need to go back and correct this. Save your strength, and get to the good stuff :). Just keep a note of it for the future. But who am I to tell you what to do, it's your call :)
Thanks for the save state, much appreciated. Heck, if he wants to optimize this test run a bit I think that's good. I mean, if he finished the entire run, no matter how long it is, I think he could submit it and have it accepted (Bisqwit keeps saying the site is in much need of more N64 runs!). Then if someone else has the time/dedication to beat this test run they're more than welcome to go for it!

Nice segment up to Gerudo, Guano. I agree you should probably start distributing your save files with each WIP now (pretty please). As much as I love your deku tree and fishing, etc, I've seen it plenty (plus my computer can only fast forward so quickly because it is old)!

Hmm. Yea that looks pretty darn bleak ;p Can you manipulate luck to let Gryz and Demi get big hits on it? I also noticed Gryz missed once in your test file. Giwat certainly would be nice to have, I agree...

Yeah Guano, linking to roms on the forum is against the forum rules, which you supposedly read before signing up and/or posting. So please don't because we really like your run so far and don't want to see you get banned, heh! To those experiencing desynchs: Make sure you're running the latest Mupen (0.5 rerecording 8 I believe?). To those looking for roms, they're really not hard to find. As the help file for the dreamcast emu Chankast says, "Google is your friend." ;)

Yea, thirded. If you're going to redo that much of it Guano, it may be the perfect time to switch to the v1.0 rom.

Can't get this to not desynch as soon as Navi meets Link. All plugins match, rom matches, made sure raw input is unchecked, etc. Can't figure out what the deal is.
Actually making sure raw data is checked is what fixed it for me. Try that.

Heh. You are right of course. I've seen that suggestion a thousand times on this forum but never followed it because I never got desynchs because of it. Anyway thanks. Pretty decent run so far. I think you should keep it up! In fact, that other guy that said he was committing to doing a TAS doesn't seem like he's too serious about following through on it. Yours is the farthest I've seen. I hope you decide to repost the WIP from the post you deleted earlier so that others can see your run (unless you're making some changes and redoing it, I guess).

Actually he posted a link to the mupen m64 file, which I promtly d/led and tried. There was a desynch somewhere along the line in the intro text stuff (I have the same rom checksum, same controller + all plugin settings). Looks like he deleted his post; perhaps he meant to put up a different version or something.

Boss 1 Done in ~13 min. I tried uploading to the MicroLoader but it wouldnt accept my Mupen record file so I just go to my site that I love best to upload. I also use Zelda v1.2 http://download.yousendit.com/2D1D379046840478
Hmm, what kind of file is that? It doesn't appear to be a valid Mupen record file. Perhaps you should have put the .m64 file instead?

Wow, you did away with all the newt hunting with Rune! Seems kinda risky, but obviously your levels were enough to take out Juza no problem. Great job thus far, nice and quick. Can't wait 'til you get to Dezolis :)

Welcome back Frenom! No one picked up this project because you didn't really announce your departure, I think. We were all hoping that you would come back and finish! I'm pleased you're working on it again. Believe it or not, I checked the Sega Genesis forum here every single day for only one purpose: to see if there were any posts in the PS4 topic. ;) I love this game that much.

Woohoo! That Bobomb battlefield was amazing! That trick you used to get to the summit just floored me! Keep up the nice work. Also, you get good style points in the bowser stage.

To those getting a desynch: I tried it first with different plugin settings. Desynch. Ok, then I tried it with the same plugin settings, including rumble pack. Desynch. Then I tried it for a third time after restarting the emulator and keeping the proper plugin settings and it worked. Point is, try it a couple times before you give up on it. I have no clue why it worked for me the third time, but oh well.

This deserves a star. What beautiful manipulation of the super arrow, the cool glitches, and the great boss fights. Nice!

That was a very nice Corneria run, Vidar. You clearly have a knack for the control scheme. Now, on to Meteo! Can't wait!

Hi, Well you got as far as the store to buy the Deku shield for my viewing, but you only had 38 rupees and so obviously the movie didn't get much past that :p Is that a problem on my end? Could I be using the wrong rom version (Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.0) [!])? If anyone else has this problem please let me know how to fix it so the movie views to completion, thanks!
