I made a movie using the Justin Bailey code to beat the game in 4:22, but I don't know whether or not there's anything about it that makes it worthy of being submitted to Bisqwit.

Zoizite and I are making the new movie together. It gets the missiles in Brinstar because getting them from Kraid's, from what I've tried, takes at least 20 seconds longer (including the respawn wait from Up+A.)

It is not all because of Up+A. Using the door glitch is large part of the reason for the better time.
I am making a new as fast as possible version that will use the door glitch and Up+A. But I don't think that my old movie should be replaced unless it is beaten using the same conditions (no door glitch and no Up+A).

Uhh, then what was it?
I do; generally it's Zoizite's.
In addition to being an excellent timeattacker, Zoizite has a good attitude. :)

Maybe I should have mentioned that I ran beside the computer ballcarrier in order to manipulate his movement so that the rest of my team wouldn't tackle him.

In LoZ after the 1st Quest it states: "Another quest will start from here. Press the start button." After the 2nd Quest it states: "You are great. You have an amazing wisdom and power [sic]. End of 'The Legend of Zelda 1.'"
So I don't see why you consider Zelda finished after the 1st quest but not GnG.

I have achieved the good ending of the 1st quest. The bad ending is when you finish level 6 without getting a cross and are then forced to go back and get it before you can fight Satan.
Dark Mana seems to be confused by the lack of credits. The ending of the 2nd quest is different, as you can see here:
But that is all; there are no ending credits in this game.
Evidently you would also oppose the publishing of the Legend of Zelda movie, because it only completes the 1st quest? What about Super Pitfall, which also has no ending credits and has infinite quests? It seems that you would automatically vote no for a Super Pitfall movie that wasn't played for an infinitely long time, due to your criterion that the game must reach the final ending.

I think that it could be done about 10,000 frames faster.
About 90% of the jumps are imprecise. Some jumps are unnecessary. 20% speed is way too fast for a Metroid timeattack.
The movie is plagued by various problems that are already solved in either Zoizite's or my movie. For example, boss fighting. You ought to kill Kraid much faster, without missiles. Ridley ought to take about 10 seconds; I've made a video (TechSmith Codec) for you here: Fighting Ridley
While it needs to be played better, the creativity and planning of the movie is excellent.
From The Legend of Zelda description:
Is it mentioned in the Metroid instruction manual? No
Is it a 'part of normal playing'? I don't know exactly what Bisqwit means by this, but speedrunners haven't used it and Metroid movies are more entertaining without it.

1. Will the A/V desync in Zoizite's movie be fixed? If not then why not?
2. I've found a way to make my movie faster using the door glitch. (Earlier I didn't see any plausible way that was faster.) *Spider-Waffle cheers*

It is marvelous; it is wonderful.
I see a couple of small improvements that could be made to mine (that aren't due to the luxury of extra energy and the hi-jump boots.)
However I think that a few rooms may be a little bit sub-optimal, and maybe game lag could be improved in a few spots. But I'm not completely certain about either yet.
Overall you are great.

Edit: There were two rooms in particular that I compared against mine because I know that they were tough to optimize:
1. In Kraid's Lair, the violet room with a lot of enemies 2 rooms over from Kraid.
2. The zigzag shaft in Tourian.
Both of those were too slow. I also spot some really small errors in various places.
But it is mostly incredible.
