It is due to the game and not the keyboard.
As for the fairy question, no time is lost. I activated fairy at the last possible frame prior to hitting the lava for amusement, and I also do not have to do any enemy dodging whilst there.

Moving downward in elevators doesn't act the same way as moving upward.
When moving downward, Link refuses to walk left or right. I attack the wall to bounce Link where I want him to be.

1. The door glitch route, if it works at all, is still not much more impressive than e.g. beating Zelda 3 in three minutes via glitch.
2. Restarting is intentionally avoided because it is less entertaining, ruins the flow, and becomes an excuse for the excellent time of the movie.
3. A precise 100% timeattack would take a really long time to make.
I will improve my current timeattack if actual mistakes are discovered.

If you haven't heard - I'm now doing the playing whilst Boco helps with routes. (I think she's avoiding me though.)
I am finally out of death mountain; I had to do it twice in order to compare two different strategies. You will find an explanation of this....in the next paragraph.
In Zelda2j, when you use the game restart sequence, all of your levels are reset to whichever one is lowest. But using the restart sequence is definitely faster than not restarting, so this leads to a choice of how to go through death mountain:
1) Get levels to 7-1-1. Faster, but on restart they all reset to 1.
2) Get levels to 3-3-3. Slower, but on restart they all stay at 3.
Death mountain was completed 7.08 seconds faster with the 7-1-1 method. Do you think it was worth it.....?
No, it isn't. It's not just because the levels are lower. The main reason is because of the level-up menu. With the 7-1-1 method, you eventually will waste 7 level-ups. With the 3-3-3 method, you only waste 2, the ones used for Life. Each level-up takes about 3.07 seconds. 3.07 * 5 = 15.35 seconds to regain lost levels.
So, the 3-3-3 method is 8.27 seconds faster and the Attack-Magic levels after death mountain are 3-3 instead of 1-1.

What I don't like about it is that it makes it sound like we are performing miracles (i.e. things that should NEVER happen) when we are actually performing marvels (i.e. things that are possible but highly improbable.)

The question was which individual tracks do we like, so here are some of my favorites:
Chrono Cross - Dragon God
Chrono Trigger - Enhasa
Dance Dance Revolution - Follow the Sun
FF7 - Anxious Heart
FF7 - Main Theme
FF7 - OWA
FF9 - Kuja's Theme
FFT - Delita's Theme
FFX-2 - 1000 Words
FFX-2 - Real Emotion
Kingdom Hearts - Simple and Clean
Lunar - Luna's Boat Song
Streets of Rage 2 - Spin on the Bridge (whole soundtrack is good)
Suikoden 2 - Due Fiumi
Suikoden 2 - Gregminster Theme
Suikoden 2 - La Mia Tristezza
Suikogaiden - Vol 1 Intro / Currents
Suikogaiden - Vol 2 Intro
Xenogears - Grahf's Theme
Xenogears - Small Two of Pieces
Xenosaga - Last Battle
I wonder if the .hack games have the awesome music from .hack//SIGN? If so count that too.

That didn't really answer Mr. Whoops' question.
1) Movies.
We are making movies of games (usually) beaten as quickly as possible as a means of entertainment. This is not quite the same thing as playing solely for (attempting to) 'beat the game as fast as possible' e.g. in legit speed runs.
2) Entertaining.
Variable - ending the movie as early as possible qualifies for the 'not slow' part.
Surprising - e.g. seeing the movie stop 15 seconds early in Castlevania III was surprising.
Skillful - e.g. the positioning of the paddle in the correct position and then stopping the movie in Arkanoid looked skillful.
3) Watch.
Movies are not interactive, you can only view them.
If you press keys after the Famtasia movie ends, you would be preventing the produced movie from reaching the game's end, however the Famtasia movie still always will have the potentiality of reaching the end.

Without the ice beam and some health, the metroids will drain Samus.
Does anyone want to predict the final time for this version? I won't because I pretty much know the answer (but I'm not telling.)

I am doing this again.
I have extensively thought about/studied/attempted using the door glitch, but there was only one place where it was worth trying, and it ended up being much slower than the regular way. So I am still using my original route.
