Doesn't that mean you'll have to wait for the heart to fill up when you get the triforce? You should time it to see if the time lost is more or less than the time gained.
Or pick up a heart/fairy.

Going to redo this; normally I underestimate how much time can be saved, but here I think that at least 60 seconds can be saved, maybe more.

No one has said that there are no rerecordings
MKM is referring to my definition:
Speed Run: Videos of amazing achievements by humans on a continous, real-time attempt ('run' implies continuity/flow.) No saves states, etc. are used.
Evidently he stopped reading at that point, unable to read the definition of Time Attack on the next line, and assumed that I was calling the Zelda Time Attack a real Speed Run. Just another one of the uninformed 'those are faked/hoaxed/cheated' people.

Has this thread been mentioned? Although they express that they want to keep things secret from us 'cheaters,' they hint at some things about Zelda (of course not expecting us to see it ;p.) fixed

Can't you tape it with a VCR? Wouldn't it take quite a long time though? Could it even be done in less than 15 hours?

SNES games are generally longer and I don't know of an emulator with rerecording. The only games I'd really want to see are Chrono Trigger and Super Metroid.

San Francisco 163 Atlanta 0 Overall I am very pleased with this video and I think that it could be fairly popular. No punt return..you will see why though :) On the issue of sports games, I think that only a few should be attempted: Excitebike, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Tecmo Super Bowl, and Track & Field. There are some that I am not sure about that might be good, like Ice Hockey, Ring King, Golf, maybe a couple other ones. Most other sports games will get repetitive quickly.

126-0 after the 3rd. I think that I have varied the plays quite well.

84-0 at halftime. I am saving the dreaded punt return until the end.

I am giving this a try. After the first quarter the score is 42-0 (SF vs. Atl). As this is an aesthetic type of superplay I am trying to do different things to prevent repetition.

Lezard's 2-person-simultaneous movie for Double Dragon II looked quite good; perhaps the others should try it.

so even though I have enough experience, I dont get the best ending.
The ending requirements are based on "stat max-outs". The four max-outs are: a. Hearts: 999 b. Strength: 5 c. Level: 5 d. All weapons acquired You need all 4 in order to get the best ending.

What I meant is that he said what questions he would ask in the radio interview. One of which was about the various types of Superplays, which I said were clearly defined on my site and there was not a lot else to add. Basically I said that discussing the movies would be more interesting than discussing me and my site.

http://files.radioitg.com/SHOWS/EpilepticGaming/Epileptic_Gaming_41-Artificial_Unintelligence-032604.mp3 Time: 2:02:30 - 2:07:00 They don't have a lot to say really. You'll hear that they asked me to discuss Superplays and I declined. This is because the questions that he emailed me were either a) already answered on the site or b) about me personally. I offered to answer any questions he had about strategies, etc. of Superplays, or explain things in the videos that I made, but he didn't reply.

- Never wait for anything unless it's absolutely necessary.
If you take no damage all game, it will be at least 90 seconds slower than mine.
- If enemies are hard to kill, kill them. - If an object is hard to miss, miss it.
On killing enemies, I guess it could be better to kill them as long as there is no slowdown. But most enemies do not need to be killed.

Taking damage doesn't slow you down, you should charge through as much as possible.

Camtasia Studio also. I think the problem is that VirtuaNes' 1x zoom shrinks it too much, unlike Famtasia's.

I use wmv because I have limited web space. It's quality isn't that bad, aside from the famous Morimoto SMB3 video.

I think that if it was played completely perfectly and/or found an interesting glitch it would be worth publishing.

Xoria was interested in this. I did it a while ago. It was fun to play. http://home.comcast.net/~arcthelad/video/jackiechan-timeattackv1-jeffc.fmv (18:59) Bisqwit's comments:
Tell me why this movie would be interesting? It looked like quite boring to me...

I think the private encouragement is good; I never thought Ghosts n Goblins could be below 10 minutes when I started doing it. However you could mention specific problems instead of just saying e.g. 'make it look better,' and praise the good things more :)

Why does Famtasia say that the River City Ransom movie is 8 minutes long when it is actually 9
