I think the whole 'stop and wait for dog to dig up a cd' thing kind of killed the blindingly fast pace.

I'm voting meh on this one. To be honest, I can't find what everyone else finds so appealing about it, although that might be because I'm a fan of Forte in this game far more than Rockman (double jump, dash, and autofire 7 directional buster? can't go wrong for me). Either way, I found it kinda boring to watch.

"whit" isn't the word you were looking for. I'm actually surprised that it's even a word. I'll watch this when I wake up and edit appropriately.

While a good idea in a sense, missiles and such have a set rate of fire. I believe that being point blank with the door makes this as small as possible as opposed to standing back to get a full run into the door.

Not a bad run at all. While it's a very linear game, and the visuals leave something to be desired, the strategies that are visible are pretty cool most of the time. Not one I'd recommend, but glad I saw it. And there were some moments in there that were really hot.
Like when he walked over the lava/hot stone panels?

Ability to run in 32 bit colour depth is the thing i think would go best. Some sync options would be nice too if possible. A slight example would be the controller settings, whatever input (eg 3/6) is present in the movie is configured to that for the movie playback. Maybe sound settings also would fit under this, as i've tried playing some of the movies on the site from gmvs and have had 0 success in playing them, and its the only reason i can come up with as to why they don't work.

After encoding an avi without using the camhack and one using it, I watched them both side by side and consistantly found my attention drifting towards to camhack avi. While when you use it with the emulator it might not seems that great since it really gives a performance hit using it, an avi of it playing at 100% is just insane to watch since its like 'blink and miss half the stage'. My vote goes for encoding the avi using the camhack, although this might pose a problem if one of the linux encoders if its only in the windows version.

Crazy stuff nitsuja, easily a yes vote. Somewhat related, could you upload the version of vba with the cam hack for those of us who would rather not download an avi?

Bleach DS isn't bad, but my god, the wifi connection lags like all hell, even with a 1.5Mbit connection. I wish it didn't, I could go for having a good match :\
that's news to me, so it depends on the developer? i thought nintendo had made a good conection base programming which developers could use on their games. I'll be carefull with that then.
Its probably moreso the fact that its supposed to be a japanese only game, and i'm playing it in australia. I dont think it goes through the 'local' servers, thus causes extreme lag.

but only some games support wi-fi connection. afaik, these games do have this support: - mario kart - metroid prime hunters - animal crossing
- Bleach DS: Souten Ni Kakeru Unmei - Tetris DS There are probably one or two others that are also supported with nwc, but I dont know them. As it stands, I have all of the games listed above, except Animal Crossing. I figure I dont play the gamecube version so I wouldn't play the DS version either. MKDS is simply awesome, great multiplayer fun. MPH is good multi, but doesn't have much single player replay. Also, you wont want to play people who dont own the game, as you'll almost certainly pwn them once you beat the game and thus have learned how to play. Tetris DS should speak for itself. Bleach DS isn't bad, but my god, the wifi connection lags like all hell, even with a 1.5Mbit connection. I wish it didn't, I could go for having a good match :\

Megaman has HAIR! The only thing I saw that looked a little off was using the baloon multiple times to zip through that wall. were multiple usages required? or was it also luck manipulation to get the right positioning? either way, yes vote.

Couldn't you logically 'fill in the blanks' with bombchus for where you'd otherwise require bomb plants from using the goron bracelet?

That should be "You're an attention whore. I WIN!!!" Fluidity is an important part of sentence structure, as is correct grammar. You know, for someone who's leaving, you're sure sticking around aren't you?

It is an interesting concept, but I don't think the movie would be very entertaining.
Each movie played seperately one at a time, I would undoubtedly have to agree with you. all the movies played at once, however, would be somewhat more entertaining.

That game's quite long, and you can't throw in any direction either. But it looks nice and it's hard to play without taking it safe, it might make a good TAS.
Yeah, I think the genesis version is better, but eh, a lot of people dont know that, and seem to think the snes one is.

If you can provide a movie file that has you stopping right infront of the seam, I'll give it a shot, as I don't particularly desire to backwalk into the right position when I have no idea where i'm actually going :P

I recall that you need both level 8 magic and 8 magic 'units' to get the thunder spell, which is required for that bird boss in the final palace.

I'll see if I can fix the first stage I played, then I'll post the movie, you can use it as a kind of "guide" or something like that. Edit: http://files.upl.silentwhisper.net/upload5/Ghouls_--N_Ghosts_-REV_01-_-JUE-_---.rar I hope the persons who wants to see this can open .rar files, anyway it's definetely improvable, and you could also kill more to gain more points, getting another weapon from the chest I wait at may also speed things up later in the game, I don't know.
That was very impressive, The constant jumping looks good, and you miss enemies by mere pixels. You even get treasure before the chest evens breaks :) I'd think for the first level, the lance is probably the best weapon, since you can fire multiple quite quickly, and they move fast (and dont change trajectory on you). the sword is probably a bad idea due to low area range, the disc due to a bad special, the dagger special is ok, but it seems the lance one is better, and I didn't test the other two (axe/holy...ball?).

I'm going to have to vote no on this one. This movie has a few flaws, ranging from missed shots and missed jumps to overkill and some bad strategy. The main thing that seemed wrong in this movie is that you killed alot of the enemies you saw, even if you had to turn around and go back to kill it. This was especially apparant in the first stage, where you stood around and killed vultures and such for what i'd estimate to be 5- 10 or so seconds (this was also very apparant in a later stage, where you kill more or less everything in sight before proceeding). The missed jumps looked rather bad, and there was more than one case of it, not missing them would've saved you a bit of time, same goes for missed shots (did the final boss take damage when you shot it every second time since it didn't flash? If it didn't, that'd be an oppurtunity for timesaving also). In the last stage (both times), you kill the right head and then the left (at the point where there's two heads on poles, so to speak, that have to be destroyed to progress) after. I think killing the left first would be a better idea since it'd put you closer to the wall which dissapears when you kill the right one, allowing faster progress (same goes for killling the left of the two giants shortly after, unless both have to be killed to progress). Now, a few questions: Which weapon does the most damage excluding the light ball you get on the second run? Are charged abilities really not worth using on bosses? When you had the dagger (which seemed to have a useful charge ability), why didn't you have the charge already prepared to use on the boss right when it spawned (and several other occasions where it would've saved time)? Hmm, I think that covers most that comes to mind. Also, don't be discouraged from doing a future TAS by this post, as it's not my intention to scare you away. I just think that it needs a bit more refinement :)

For a game in which text flows sufficiently slowly to read, sometimes a real name can be more appealing for entertainment purposes. In this case, I think it would be worth giving him a better name than 'A'. This is a point argued on by many people, as its more of a personal preference than anything else. I, for example, like names. BOMF for example likes 'A' over a name. Overall however, in the end this is the authors decision, not ours.
