Well, I redownloaded the file from there and it worked. Are you using the latest Windows version of FCEU?

I couldn't tell if the "dissolving" effect was there or not, since he looked as though he faded a little, and he was getting thinner anyway so it was hard to tell, and it's been a while since I've played it on Nintendo 64.

Hey everybody, Vatchern has concluded that he is now so super awesome at this game that he can finish it on his own, so he doesn't need to post partial movies anymore. He wants it to be a surprise that he finishes the game.

See, that's what I would say, but people have raised a big stink about how you can "cheat" the save file by altering it to give you things that you shouldn't have. I think this fear comes from savestate-based movies, though. With a savestate, you can't tell exactly how the player was dropped into the game, and you might be able to hack in a situation that you couldn't actually have by playing normally. When you're just loading the game fresh using the game's own save data, though, it's much less likely that there's anything you could put in there that the game itself wouldn't let you save.

How accurate is the N64 emulator? The game frequently slows down a tiny bit - not enough to notice, but enough to affect the times - and the in-game timer runs in realtime even during slowdown. If the emulator isn't perfectly accurate in regards to how much the game slows down, you'll end up with different times.
The slowdown in the water level in the Super Mario 64 run looked accurate to me. I haven't tried any other games with Mupen 64, but I'm pretty sure that the timer in Goldeneye 007 doesn't slow down with the action, because otherwise the "look at the floor" trick would have no merit. Blast Corps may be the same way.

Yeah, I think you are biased, but the main problem with doing 007 Mode seems to be that we don't have a system for movies with unlockables yet. So a playthrough that sets something in 007 Mode would have to come after a playthrough of 00 Agent in the same movie.

Wait, is this for whether the coin will land on its side or land and stay on its side after coming to a stop?

I really don't see the difference. There could just as easily be some community dedicated to per-level times in Adventures of Lolo. That wouldn't mean that the people who run this site would want to record 50 different videos of Lolo levels and make torrents out of each one, though. It's generally considered more interesting to see the total time to get from the very start of the game to the very end of the game. "The Adventures of Lolo? You'd better have saved the receipt."

So you're saying we should suddenly start doing segmented runs?

Or you could have savestates to jump to the beginning of each level in the full movie. The only problem would be catching the in-game time and other statistics on the results screen, since it would only appear for a split second before the player moved onto the next level.

Yeah, that might work. See, that site only covers two games, while this site covers many games, so we try to limit movies to one per game, or sometimes two or three if there are other modes of play. The-Elite can afford to look at Goldeneye 007 in more depth.

But you would have to publish a ton of separate movies. I don't think the-elite's style of records really fits here.

Going for score would be cool with all the possible bonuses. You'd want to be fast anyway to maximize your time bonus.

Uhhh because he's in the upper-left corner. and because if you replace "Smash" with "Mario", you get "Super Mario Bros."

I think a single-segment run would make more sense, just because it's harder to do in real life and will tell the whole story. (I remember when I thought one-level runs of Adventures of Lolo would be a good idea...) You could do it on 00 Agent to unlock 007 Mode, but then you'd have to watch the whole game played all over again just to see it in "crazy hard" mode. Same problem for many other cheats, since they're earned on various difficulties in different levels.

Then we need official SRAM with the characters unlocked! Or just use Pikachu.

I'm pretty sure the only actual Dragon types are Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite.

Well, I don't think dumping the cart crooked would be a good idea. Don't you have to put it back in right away anyway?
