Hmm, the eighth level of Adventures of Lolo was being mean to me. It kept giving me frame lags at different times with different playthroughs of the same movie, so oftentimes I would get my movements in at the right times while recording, but see them gotten wrong during playback. I think the speed/frame advancing may have affected it. Do you think this is something worth looking into?

The m in m.i could stand for Marsh! But I'm not going to assume.

I can't understand how this guy can act like nothing happened at all. He flooded our forum with hundreds of automated registrations and other requests in attempt to bring the server down, using over 150 distinct IP addresses (cracked computers) a few weeks ago. He intiminated me, seemingly enjoying the concept of being unstoppable. His homepage lists chatroom flood programs and other utilities of malice he has made. I told him I will not accept that kind of people - people who turn into criminals out of whim - among our contributors. He also said he'll go looking for a site that "has some integrity" instead of my site. So I wonder what he is doing here now.

I thought Cheetahman 2 was entertaining... I wouldn't want to actually play the game, but... yeah...

Yeah, but I ended up with a lot of desyncs as I was making it. I've just been using frame advance, actually, since it seems the most practical. If I want to, I can simply hold down Ctrl-N, and the game will go at a certain slow speed. It probably depends on Keyboard Repeat Rate.

Hey hey, I think I've nearly got it figured out! Here's a movie of me beating the first nine levels of Adventures of Lolo (US version, SGB2). http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/gblolo.zip Look how much junk you have to sit through at the beginning of Dance and Music. Watch the text fly!

And it's all right to still have the NES movie even after we get an arcade or Master System movie, because, well... Remember Prince of Persia and Marble Madness? Yeah!

Because there are already movies on the site that use the Work-In-Progress one. :(

So you're using just the regular Ctrl-S and Ctrl-L? Hmm, what games have you tried?

And rerecording still doesn't work. Or maybe it does work, but only for Game Boy Advance, and I wouldn't know because I have no clue how to get Game Boy Advance ROMs.

Nice, but I'm still finding ways to crash it! Try recording a movie for a Game Boy Color game, then playing it while the game is loaded with regular Game Boy or Super Game Boy. It crashed on me. Also, when I record a movie of Pocket Bomberman, the game freezes after about half a minute. This only happens when I record, though.

Okay, I just found a way to improve the seventh level, so I'll work on that first.

You might have been thinking of another MegaMan game. And the European names of the weapons are the same as the American names! You were probably thinking of the fan translation that was used to make the RockMan 2 AVI on this site.

Now attempting to play movies causes VisualBoyAdvance to crash on my computer! This isn't an improvement!

Well, I found a way to shorten that level up a little. I push the box down, but stop so it forms a passage that forces the Leeper to go right. Then I can simply trap him with the block, grab the heart framer to knock him out, and finish pushing the block to get the other hearty heart heart. The level ends with me worming my way to the last two hearts and the treasure chest. This still involves quite a bit of excess waiting and running around, though, so I still don't like it very much. I'll probably keep working on it until this weekend, and if anybody finds a way to improve a level I've already done, I'll edit that in and continue with the final run of that Leeper level. I'm pretty sure my next checkpoint (as in putting my movie up for download) will be after I beat the first secret cave.
