also, during the era of the first console ever (the Magnavox Odyssey, which used jumper cartridges with no ROM at all), the designer (Ralph Baer) had an idea that, if it had caught on enough to seem patentable, could have meant a financial death knell to nearly all ROM cartridge systems that came later on in the second generation and prevented such marvels as the DS and SNES from ever existing.
Er, what was the idea?

I think there's a random element to the second Wario battle, but you may have gotten around that anyway so I don't know.

Here's a question though: Why was this done in black-and-white instead of SGB or GBC color mode?
What do those modes do for the game?

Re #7: Super Mario world has an any% TAS. And the 2-player idea has been tossed around but ultimately there is no difference between the characters, and the added fadeout for character switches, and extra character movemement in the overworld would only make things slower. (even if going for 100%)
Luigi is different in the Game Boy Advance version. So if you think a Luigi run would be fun...

Really? You can aim more widely? Would that make for a better run?

You can select an option to view the gameplay in widescreen too. But I don't know if that's preferable.

Also, it doesn't come with Glide, because the current Windows version of Glide isn't open source or something.

I would prefer the wheel, i think, if it was attached to something, not just floating free hand. With nothing to push against, I feel I have no control over the turning and such.
How many people do you think would buy a Wii Wheel Stand to mount it on?

I played PC games like that as a kid, so I never really considered it "backwards", or at least not when I'm using fingers on a keyboard rather than thumbs on a pad.

I think the emulator version could have its own field in the submission form, or even a bullet list of emulators, to help standardize which one is used to play the run. At least that way NesVideoAgent might not put up ten pictures of a desynchronization.

I don't fully understand what this project is supposed to be. You're making a collection of videos? Or tables of data? Or detailed guides? Are you making your own website to display all this stuff?
