Hooray! Maybe I should go back and finish Rockman World 3 so we can eventually have all the games in order.

Hooray, 5-1 is done! http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/Totally_Rad_U.zip It turns out I didn't need to take a hit at the beginning; I just had to stand still in that spot for 8 frames. Hmm. Well, now I have to get ready for that miniboss that's harder than the final boss.

I suppose it's possible to do a quality TAS that long with very few mistakes, but it's very very unlikely. You'd have to be some kind of cosmically conscious ninja that can see, hear, and breathe the game's code like it's the matrix.
Or the game would just have to be really easy.

Oh, you're talking about a different game now... At first I thought The Pool Of Radiance was an area in Blaster Master.

Hmm, I have to admit, "running" is a vague term.

Well, this all depends on whether our goal is to make the site as popular as possible or to punish lots of people who post other people's stuff.

Okay, I'm still updating at http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/Totally_Rad_U.zip because filespace's server is being dumb. But now I've beaten Act 4's boss! There were a few surprises along the way. I discovered that falling onto the side of a spike makes you pop up on top of it, reducing most of the wait time from getting hurt. I was going to do that a second time, but I needed the extra hit on the boss, and it turned out that that second fall onto spikes only saved 1 frame anyway. It was also lucky that the boss sinks into the ground and does nothing but his crystal toss attack when his health is low, because he was just about to back into me when that happened. ---- Hmm, now this is strange... It seems as though taking damage at the first bouncy ball guy in 5-1 makes the first pogo guy not appear.

1. Record a movie from start for a few seconds, even though you can't see anything. 2. Make a savestate. 3. Close and reopen the emulator, and open the ROM. 4. Pause the emulator. 5. Start playing the movie. 6. Load the savestate. 7. Unpause.
Ooh, does this workaround work for playing a movie as well?

Most of what we think today as polytheism (Greek, Roman, etc) were actually collections of cults that only revered a single regional god, not a unified pantheon.
You mean they all got together and literally decided whose god was bigger than whose?

Uh oh... glN64 works the first time I load a game, but if I load a game again, I get the error "Win32 exception 0xC0000005 occured in glN64". And I can only watch a movie on the second game load, because I have to load the game once to get the movie playback option, and then movie playback reloads the game!

Sometimes a shot both hits and doesn't hit, because it's just on the edge of the invulnerability area or time. So you hear the clink, but you also see a point taken off the boss's life meter.
