Considering the fact that with the PAL time-fix, this movie is 7:09 and the Twin Galaxies WR is at 6:42, I believe that this breaks the rule of needing to be faster than the existing WR. Unfortunate, too, because this is a good movie.

Funny, the image that sprang to my mind was Uncle Jesse from the old TV show Full House. It happens when you live with little sisters.

Now world 1 is 11 frames faster. Same link as before. Currently I am planning to do world 2 as soon as I discover where all the warps are; I don't think I can squeeze anymore frames off of world 1.

I agree with TheAxeMan and Xerophyte, even down to almost complaining about the extra jump after sprite :P This is a good movie, but your second version which you mentioned you will make will be even better. I'm look forward to it.

I would love to see somebody do a 2-playerime-attack of this game. I can't due to keyboard limitations. The main reason I haven't improved this movie is because I'd like to see a 2-player version, which I cannot make. Anybody up to the task?

If I recall correctly, Monster Party needed user input to access the credits. The text boxes wouldn't close if they were just left open without user input. Which brings be to my thought on this matter. I think you should end the movie as early as possible as long as it still accesses the credits, which is, essentially, choice #1 up there. It would be nice if we had a point in each game where we ended the movie, but it would be kind of hard to establish. For example, all Super Mario Bros. movies ends once the ax is touched, all Rockman movies end once the last attack hits Wily, etc. While this would be nice to have and it would make comparing movies easier, it is a lot of trouble to go through.

When you end the level, it drains your life, giving you points for every half-heart. Then it refills it from zero. So, by ending each level with little life, I save a bit of time.

I intend to improve this movie eventually. Some better randomness will help greatly. The waiting at the shield room was too long, and I might be able to manipulate the enemies so that I don't have to kill as many.

You have to be climbling a ladder for ~5-10 frames before you can jump off. That is why this happened.

http://www.filespace.org/dan_/rocketknight_v3_dan_.gmv Still using the (E) rom for reasons beyond my comprehension. Here's what I have so far. I'm almost done, and I abandoned it, like usual :P. I'll hopefully complete it soon. Feel free to comment on it if you find anything worth commenting on.

http://www.filespace.org/dan_/time_lord_v2_dan_.fcm Here's what I have so far. Only 1 level to go after WW1. I have no idea why I haven't finished it yet. Feel free to comment if you must.

http://www.filespace.org/dan_/bignose_freaks_out_v1_dan_.fcm Rom = Big_Nose_Freaks_Out_(Unl)_(U).nes First world utilizing all of the level warps. Comments are always welcome. Note: A warpless run might have to follow this run. It appears as though there are warps to end the level early in every level.

I am almost done with an improved version, however it won't be finished for a while because of lack of free time. I believe it is around 1.5 minutes faster. EDIT: In my opinion, you should lock the topics of movies that have been obsoleted.

Yy's movie focuses on timeunits, so for a realistic comparison, any new version should, too.

Considering the movie plays fine on the (PRG1) rom that I have, I don't see any major changes.

1) Daniel Fowler -- Washingon, USA 2.)On another message board, somebody asked if anybody knew of any other videos akin to Morimoto's SMB3 video. Naturally, I googled different terms such as Morimoto and Speed Run, and eventually found this site. 3.)I would have to say the most interesting thing, to me, is seeing what the least possible time is that it takes to complete a game. However, this is a different opinion from most people on this site, who create movies with a primary goal of being entertaining, and the secondary goal is to be as fast as possible. I prefer the other way around. A timeattack that will interest me is usually one of a game which I am familiar with, or one that is full of crazy tricks and tactics. 4.)Once I find the game I want, I play through it normally. After I beat it, I'll record the first level playing as well as I can with slowdown and savestates and the such. After that, I'll review it over and over again, taking note of places that could have been done faster. Then, I will redo that level, and review it again. Once I am satisfied, I move on the level 2. Lather, rinse, and repeat as desired :P 5.)Ehh... Out of the ones I've finished, I would have to say Journey to Silius. However, I have a few projects in the making of which just the incomplete movie is, in my opinion, better than the aforementioned project. 6.)I believe that timeattacks and speedruns (emulator enhanced movies as opposed to those played on a real console) are completely different things. There have been many, many, many different discussions on this topic, and after reading through most of them, I have come to this conclusion. Because they are different things, they should not be judged as equal participants in some sort of contest, which the nay-sayers seem to do. 7.)Nope.

This still has nothing to do with G4TechTV's ScreenSavers, but you do have a point. I didn't notice any subtitles either. Phil encoded it, so he would have the answer.

It means that if published, this movie would be the shortest one of the site. However, it appears that hopper overlooked the Umihara Kawase movie....
