I vote no. I found the level-skipping glitch to be very un-entertaining. I was looking forward to seeing all levels of this game finished with ease. However, instead I saw the first 5 to 10 seconds of 4 stages and only got to see 2 stages in their entirety - and those were my 2 least favorite stages. Note: I didn't watch the previous run, so any improvement between the two runs is negligible.

I'm also excited for this run. Quick question (sorry if it's been answered): are you playing on easy, normal, or hard? (I still can't beat this game on hard.... )

Very nice run. I've played this game to death recently and enjoyed watching you demolish the bosses. I'd vote yes but I guess I can't anymore... :P

Oh, and you can't forget about Bernie Taupin. Most of the words that Elton sang came from Bernie. He wrote the lyrics to a lot of Elton's songs, viz. Rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Candle in the Wind, and many many more.

You forgot about Rocket Man! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvQwXOCKNLY) Elton's got a lot of good songs, like you said Fabian. Some of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet are Crockodile Rock, Bennie and the Jets, The Bitch is Back, Honkey Cat, etc. Another good one is from the 2001 Grammy Awards, where Eminem and Elton sing Stan. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptx5UKAu8Fg) It's a little different style, but it's still really good. Elton's good, but to say he's the best live performer is a stretch. However, this is an Elton appreciation thread, so I'll leave it at that :)

First one is Hot Rod. It's a funny movie. I didn't recognize any others though.

A Slice of bread, some mayo, 2 slices of ham, 1 slice of pepper jack cheese, and another slice of bread. It's easy to make, and easy to eat. I usually make like 3 or 4 of these at a time and then chow down.

I think the main reason it's such a problem in Mario Kart Wii is because they increased the total racers to 12 instead of 8. For example, in Mario Kart 64, only like the last 2 racers could even get blue shells, as compared to the last 4 or 5 racers in Mario Kart Wii. It's the same with lightening also.

So far, I have noticed a little bit of "cheating" with the computer AI also, but I'm getting used to it because it seems no matter what mode I play (online or grand prix) I'll get pummeled by items right before the finish line 5 or 6 times out of ten. I do like how there's a lot of things to do and unlock, though. The fast staff ghosts will give me something to shoot for (I've been playing the game for 4 days now, and I've beat 1), and I'll also need to get 3 stars on every grand prix cup. The tournaments seem like a good idea too; I just hope that it's not the same thing each time. Oh, and my friend code is 3609-1636-3021. If anyone wants to get crushed online, let me know :).

Also, I think a 100% run would be a good idea too. I can't remember what are the advantages of getting all secrets (can't even remember what these secrets are called!), but I think it would be interesting to watch that.
Challenge points, IIRC.

What emulator did you use to actually do that? I never seen a version of FCE ultra that would allow you to utilize such a thing.
0.98.16 version haves BasicBot feature, memory watch (RAM watch) etc. but you need to find addresses yourself and frame advance and counter is appeared almost in the every version I know.
And I think you need version 1.21.67 to color a robot... Luckily Deign is from the future so he has it already. Question (seriously): is it possible to, in the first Cutman battle, use the glitch to duplicate the throwing rocks to pick up the rock, throw it, and then jump on it and jump off to get the orb for beating the boss? It seems to me like it would be a bit faster, if it's possible, because you'd get the orb a little earlier.

Fabian, strangely similar to where i'm at right now. except i started thinking like that before i ever got into a university. basically my dad set me up with an office job with serious career potential right outta high school, and i worked there for a year and a half. after the first few months, i started thinking about having to do the same type of thing for the next forty years. i kept thinking about these sorta things for a year and half, and finally quit a few weeks ago. trouble is, nothing else really interests me due to the same reasons you have. what i've been doing is instead of focusing on what i do "when i grow up", i focus on who i am (yes, i got that idea from the movie "across the universe"). as a result of this thinking. as a result, i've pretty much renounced my religion (not a good thing in my parent's book), started smoking, started drinking, started doing other sorta drugs (nothing health-threatening, just psychedelics and my lovely thc), and started, well, having a completely different lifestyle then i did when i grew up (i was raised mormon). thinking about it now, i'm really not to worried about my career or if i'm gonna get into school (i hated high school so a university's out for a while at least. there's other reasons but i don't wanna ramble on forever.) the way i see it, i'm gaining memories and experiences that i won't forget. i think it's about what you get outta life instead of what you do in life. i'd say that if you've got the money, take some time off and go travel. that's what i'm gonna do. i'm moving to a different state in a couples weeks to work for the summer, and after that i'm probably just travel around and do stuff for a while. ps. i didn't expect this to be so long when i started writing. oh well. also, hi TASvideos. its been a while.

As far as hitting 100% of the notes in the song, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that one measure of the song (measure 325, 90% through the song) will remain out of reach of human ability if for no other reason than hitting notes at a rate of 26.67 notes per second is unreasonable. think if you had to be accurate to 2 frames 24 times consecutively... not hard with frame advance, but in real time... yeah... no.
That's what I thought about Jordan. Do you know how many notes are in the crazy part of Jordan?

Cool, someone finally finished an improvement to RKA. I wish I could have contributed more to this, Upthorn, but my whole 'lack of coming here frequently' put a damper in that. Anyway, good job, and I'll watch this once it gets published.

Yes, something similar did happen to me once. When I was testing around the cave level, I got hit by one of the axe men and he sent my flying just how you described. I wasn't able to duplicate this ever, and I wasn't recording at the time either, so I understand how you feel. If you could find out how it works, it would be pretty cool.

I loved this TAS. In my eyes, it's exactly what a TAS should be - doing not only what is humanly impossible (don't say 'theoretically it could be done') but doing it well. I enjoyed all 40 minutes of this movie, simply because I was in awe the whole time. It's not too hard to understand what's going on; you're not supposed to watch each game individually and notice exactly what each one is doing. As long as you kinda stare into the middle of the .avi, you can see in your peripheral what's going on, and then when something interesting comes up (like 2 simultaneous boss fights, for instance) you can focus on those two screens. Anyway, I applaud Baxter and AngerFist for creating my new (I don't think I had an old one...) favorite movie. Good work guys!
