Here's a hilariously gory video my cousin just showed me on youtube: Riki Oh - The Story of Ricki Warning - not for those with a weak stomach, or even a moderately high tolerance for over-the-top gore. This is, by far, the most ridiculously gory/over the top movie I have ever seen. And that's why it's so funny.

Call me immature, but I liked this movie. It actually made me laugh out loud, and I can't recall when another TAS has made me do that. Good work, FODA. BTW, I think this should obsolete my 1 player movie, because that movie sucks.

No. Work got in the way (lame excuse, I know). I've got a biiig meeting the first weekend in August that I have to go to or else. Sorry bud, it would have been fun.

I'm going to throw another 'Meh' vote in there. While it had its moments, the movie was too long and therefore got very repetitive. You (I) can only watch Mario bounce across levels and through all the enemies for so long without getting tired of it, and 'so long' isn't quite an hour and 19 minutes. Like I said, it had its moments (Valley of Bowser 2 was pretty cool), but not enough to warrant a 'Yes'.

You know, morals, ethics, those sort of things. Some people have them still.

Cazlab, That has to be one of the coolest pictures I've seen in a while. Every time I see it it makes me giggle. Oh yeah, here's my base: http://scoop.diamondgalleries.com/news_images/7124_19088_1.jpg

I'm still out here. However, I don't have a computer and home so I can only check the forums when it's slow at work (as it is right now). I can't check the movie either, but I can echo Ouzo's thoughts:

Glad someone is finally improving this movie.
Maybe someday when I get a computer (probably a month or so) i'll be able to provide feedback (assuming you aren't done by then) but until that time comes, i'll just be lurking randomly... :P But seriously, good luck with this and I hope it turns out well.

I liked Rocky 3 the most, although Rocky 1, 4 and Rocky Balboa are close behind it. I also have the box set of Rockys 1 through 5 and will definitely buy number 6 once it comes out.

I bought an iPod last week just for training - it's really nice to have some music to listen to while running. I am still training, even if I'm not updating the spreadsheet very regularly. The other day I ran 5 miles and was only a little winded afterwards, so I'm making progress. I'm also feeling a bit of soreness after I run, although it's not so bad anymore. It's mainly in my knees and shins, but I suspect good form and good shoes will alleviate this quite a bit. I think that's about it. I don't check here very regularly anymore because I don't have internet at home (I'm at work right now) but I am still training and looking forward to this.

Thanks for the pointers. While I feel myself to be a semi-experienced weight lifter (4 years of high school weight training), you do bring up some important things that I will keep in mind while lifting. 176 g of protein eh? That'll be fun to choke down :P Still, I appreciate the pointers and Ill keep you updated with my status.

Training for me starts either late this week or next week. Basically as soon as I get settled into my new apartment and get running routes figured out. I won't be able to handle running more than 20 minutes on a treadmill :P This is definitely one of my goals, and I will let you know once I commit to it.

The deadline for registering is June 1st. I emailed them and asked. I'm still considering this, and I'm slowly leaning towards yes. I'm going to start getting in shape and start training, but I won't dedicate to it yet.

I'm really tempted to. This sounds cool, but I would have to, you know, get in shape :P I'll think about it though.

I haven't watched this yet, but do you know that you can get holy water + triple shot in level one? I remember back in the day when I was planning a Grant TAS, I got through the first level ~2 seconds faster (I don't know for sure, because I was comparing to a Famtasia run) with Holy Water + triple shot abuse on the first boss. The only hangup was one part that looks something like this:

                gremlin
          -------
                                        gremlin
                           ---------

       Trevor
------------------------------------------------------
It's in the room right before the boss and after the room with all the zombies (two screens after the bridges that flip when you jump on them + medusa heads) When I got to that screen, I couldn't find an effective way to pass the second gremlin without just stopping and whipping, but even with that delay I beat the level ~2 seconds faster. Maybe I should download FCEUltra and whip up a test movie to show you...

Glare away. Your eyes might start hurting though, because there's still about a year to go for me.

Starmen.net is working on translating Mother 3. I don't know when the announcement was posted, but it looks really promising. Check it out http://starmen.net/devotion/

This would make an excellent TAS. My friends and I have played this game to death, so I would definitely love to see Adventure Mode being obliterated.

http://speeddemosarchive.com/Starcraft.html http://speeddemosarchive.com/StarcraftBroodWar.html Make sure you check with the videos already uploaded at SDA. While they aren't TAS videos, they should have some useful strategies.

Mario Kart: DS is easy on Wifi so far. I've been playing for two days and only found two people who have beaten me, and neither of them beat me by much. Is there a way to find harder people to play, or do you have to just get lucky? Anyway, my friend code is: 515477 123542 If anyone wants to get dominated, feel free to add me.
