I don't think it changes the game in any radical way.
If it made possible to skip some of the bosses entirely, it could be different...
Rygar for example, the normal run uses all possible glitches _except_ the one that allows to get to the last fortress without collecting some of the items.

Last weekend went in moving someone and in installing Linux in someone's computer and in Chronotools development.
I'm still at where I was a week ago: replaying Iceman level, with Elecman level done.

I second DarkKobold's opinion about entertainment.
Movie's quality? You mean AVI? Was there a problem with it?
I thought it looked good.

Morimoto has done until the Metal Man level, and Finalfighter is considering publishing that movie, as an option. But he won't apparently do it without Morimoto's permission.
And no, Rockman 1 and 2 are hell for trying to copypaste things together.
When I tried to do that in Rockman 1, I found out that Rockman would sometimes miss a jump or platform by 1 pixel 20 seconds later from the point where the copypaste occured. (Adjusting 1 frame to direction or the other would have made it desync immediately at the point of pasting.)

1. Replying to a 9 months old thread = bad.
2. I suggest a spellchecker or maybe taking lessons at English.
3. "If I were a rich man" type arguments have no value.
I'm locking this thread.

You wrote that the underwater glitch doesn't work in the Bubbleman level.
The trick has two components: decacceleration using pause and the wall-collision.
Deacceleration exists - you used it in Wily4.
Zipping exists - but not to the right. It exists to the left. You should explore it in other places.
Your tactic in Airman level was unseen, but it worked... but maybe you could have done it without those pauses? You know, it's possible to jump and shoot over the tornadoes.
Your application of item2 at the lava pit in Heatman level didn't seem very effective.
In Crashman level... I get the feeling you could have utilized item2 more.
I think you took too much damage in Wily2.
In Wily3, after the big fall in the spike tunnel, you ended up too much on the right, causing some delay.
Wily4 boss - how did you shoot through the wall?? :o Try to do it again. :)
The ending music sucks in this version of the game.
One thing... You seem to get easily bored watching Megaman stand still while you make the movie and you need constant action for your fingers.
It doesn't mean we enjoy watching that twitching more than standing still.
It's not like random back&forward movements make the movie somehow more interesting.
In my opinion, they break the fluency and make the movies ugly.

The wall tricks work in this game too, but only in the opposite direction than in the NES version. There's also a ladder trick.
Dan used them in his WIP last year.
Minor optimizations, lots of them. You need them. Such as:
- predictive jumping (starting a jump before a pit to maximize the speed of falling)
- jumping after a pause / level start, to eliminate the acceleration delay.
- don't walk on a surface that slows your speed (such as the lifts in Iceman level)
- try to avoid having to stop moving. EVER.
- try abusing the randomness to get a lower score from bosses.
Magnet beam usage in Elecman level could have been more optimal.
Elecman weapon at the Cutman level caused some lag.
In Elecman refight, you had to do some useless walking. More useless walking in Fireman and Iceman refights.
Clone Robot fight and the underwater fight done very well.

I find this movie interesting in the same way as the recently submitted SNES Zelda movie.
But yes, if this movie can be improved, please do so. Until then, this submission is refused.
(No, this method of playing will not supersede Boco's movie.)

I like to write comments for movies of games I know a lot about, but there are only a few of them.
But the easiest contribution-favoring solution would be to discuss the possible movie description in the movie threads at the Published Movies forum.
The optimum movie description fits the following goals:
- It's easy to read.
- It's relevant to both the movie and the game.
- It makes the reader interested of the movie without resorting to marketing speech.
- It identifies the movie from everything it could be mixed up with.

Thanks. Publishing soon.
And by the way, tripping at the end of the level is not a bad thing. It's a good thing.
I've always tried to do that but never succeeded :)

I refuse. The stars are intended for firsttime viewers to help spot the most interesting pieces of entertainment among this collection.
Movies which have been granted a star can not lose them in any other way than being beaten.
We're playing 20 years old games here. Gaming sites and magazines forget old games, as if they somehow degrade during time, but the Nesvideos site is different.
At the Nesvideos site, we recognize that old games that were fun once are still fun (there's nothing "retro" about them, they're just good games) (albeit, we do have a warped way of handling them), and therefore I think it's right to think that the fun-does-not-degrade aspect applies to movies too.
(Don't take this as absolute truth - I'm starting to doubt whether my nomination of the Rockman 2 movie is right anymore.)
