Bisqwit, I tried the XviD but it still doesn't work. Thanks anyway. If anyone figures this out, please help out. Thanks again.
No, I meant it when I said the FAQ has a solution. Read CodecProblems, and focus on the last chapter of the page.

The waits were necessary - the game doesn't allow to continue before the coins are gone.

Capslock rules, doesn't it? And ps: I hate Windows. I am somehow reminded of the Microsoft joke that replaced all the fuel and oil and other status meters in a car dashboard with a on/off light that says "General failure". For the actual information, see FAQ.

Yeah, I noticed it too. It's now fixed.

I agree with Josh. I even hated this game when it was new.

On Nes: Double Dragon 2 (redo it since it can be improved) Mighty Final Fight Gradius 2 Castlevania 3 US Adventures of Bayou Billy
Double Dragon 2 improvement is welcome. Castlevania 3 US isn't needed (except if you want to do a Grant run, but in which case you still need to verify the timing doesn't differ from Japanese version). I recall we have had a Bayou Billy submission in the past, but I can't find anything other than someone requesting it in March 2004.

On Snes: Sim City Ogre Battle Stargate Super Adventure Island
The beginning of Stargate looks boring to me - the maneuverability of the character is really bad, but maybe it could be interesting later. Adventure Island sounds bad ;). the others could be interesting. As for Arcade, the word is 'meh'.

Platform games are usually made interesting by accurate maneuvers... While I know absolutely nothing about this game, I fear the worst, for it is a brand-following game - that is, one-size-fits-for-all type jumps, for example. Much like Gremlins 2.

I understood it talked about bicycles, but I have never heard that song before - in any language.

Why did it say "hokage-sama" at around 6 minutes? :P I agree, it's really hilarious. I recognize most of those songs, although I only know the first one by name (Bohemian Rhapsody). Which is strange, because I don't listen to this kind of music.

I don't know of the keyboard configuration and speed settings. I have only accustomed it enough to be able to create AVI files, not to be able to create movies effeciently.

It's not nice when the mouse cursor escapes the small window and stops controlling the man.

That's because blip has made changes to the common functions in FCEU without care of the platform specific parts. You can try fixing that on your own or use the instructions that will be posted to http://tasvideos.org/ConvertingFCMToAVIInLinux.html later today or tomorrow.

What should I do to make it compile?
After "./configure", do "touch configure", then "make". It will rerun configure, but will compile. If it now complains that some files are too new, try rerunning "make", or touching Makefile* and configure* and then running "make". Although it seems to require automake-1.16, it runs something else. So this touch prevents it from running it alltogether.

Because background images are not clickable. Click the "Nesvideos Forum Index" link instead.

I think Phil misused his movie publishing privilege here. This submission should not have been published like that ˿ 1.5 minutes after submitting without anyone having chance to review it first.

There were indeed some situations where I did play at 2% speed. Situations like this (focus: upper right and lower right corner): There were three or four of them, and I had to use 2% speed at them, because certain exact button sequences are required on consequent frames for a relatively long time.

I started writing a FMV<->FCM<->VMV<->NSM cross converter, but I got bored with it. If someone wants to finish it, here is the source code. I haven't tried to compile it yet (and it wouldn't do anything meaningful anyway - the main() is empty). http://bisqwit.iki.fi/src/nes-movie-convert.cc

Would this be possible with ZMV to FMV
SNES (emulated by ZSNES, hence ZMV) and NES (emulated by Famtasia, hence FMV) are completely different systems.

A direct conversion of those formats is never trivial, because the different emulators are different - they emulate the system differently. The timings will differ and the movies will desync. It's trivial to do the file conversion (given a program to do it), but it will almost always require hex-editing to add/delete frames to fix the desyncing. EDIT: Here are the links to the previous discussions about this subject - both of them include a sample program of the process. Converting FMV to VMV Converting VMV to FMV
