とくしん and トクシン are the same thing. They both read 'tokushin'.
Japan has two syllabic writing systems. The curvy one (called hiragana) is used for native words and the angular (called katakana) is used for foreign words and sound effects. I chose katakana because I think the name is derived from the foreign word 'toxin'.
Edit: For future reference, I'll put the romaji versions of all SMB1 movie player names from that page here.
わいわいさん: Waiwai
ドーコカラキさん: Dookokaraki (dawk karaki?)
黒子さん: Kuroko
Mana.さん: Mana
複数人: Many persons
スノウアロウさん: Sunouarou (snow arrow)
ドーコカラキさん: Dookokaraki
エジソン電さん: Ejison <Den / Touda / Tousoe> (the kanji has these three name readings)

Is it possible to bounce from the last enemy in Yoshi's Island 1 to reach the end of the level quicker?
Or do they give any acceleration at all?
I liked your acting in Donut Plains 2, but it looked like you reached the pipe a little late, both times.

Seems like my settings and the ROM match with those used by those who can play the movie without problems.
I don't know what's the problem.
Until I know, I can't possibly encode this movie to AVI.

This movie doesn't work here.
I have tried three different starting positions (that is, letting the intro blaa blaa run for different lengths before loading the movie), and both 48 kHz and 32 kHz sound.
It always desyncs before it even manages to kill anything.
The ROM is:
md5sum d1e37c26d29cf613da48c2c558ecdfde.
(Would have verified with nsrt too, but I tend to boycott software that has design misfeatures.)

I'll always make the first two lines myself (gamename timeattack played by xxx, play length nnn rerecords nnn and this is a blaa blaa, check url).
I use a program to generate them automatically.
But I'm now talking about those extra lines that may be used in certain positions of the movie to explain what's about to happen or what just happened.

I agree. It'll be changed (but I don't know when).
I'd like it if someone made those subtitles for me.
Here's how some previous version of the W&W subtitles file was constructed:
{60}{138}Wizards & Warriors timeattack|Played by Walker Boh|Play length 0:12:37.30|Rerecord count: 1167
{144}{168}Created with|Family Emulator "Famtasia" Ver5.1
{31440}{31560}Huh? What's this?
{31680}{31800}Looks familiar? :) We're back.
{35640}{35760}How did she end up here? Don't ask...
The first number is the frame number when the text appears, the second number is the frame number when it disappears. 60 fps.
I'd like to use this feature more, but I don't have time and energy to craft all of those myself.
If the movie authors can make those subtitles and include in the submission, I could use them in the encoding.

Sometimes exceptions can be made. None of the Morimoto's movies at my site have been submitted by Morimoto himself.
Similar for Yy's SMB1, the Zanac video (which I think was rejected) and Toxin's SMB3 and probably something else too. Phil has submitted some movies made by Genisto.
The key is that they are properly credited.

My priority at this site isn't mathematical perfection...
I accept delays and such only if there is clearly a good reason for them.
A good reason could be something that looks funny or is otherwise something the audience want to see.
But almost always the delays are unwanted (by audience), and I'm not accepting them. "I'm just not good enough" or "I'm just lazy" is not a valid excuse.
Edit: To clarify:
The perfection stuff is only for competitors (and self protection - nobody likes their movies being obsoleted by someone else).
Most of the guidelines aim for a visually pleasing performance. Movie makers should aim for both. Everyone has to find their own balance between those two aspects.

At IRC, TNSe suggested (or theorized of) making a luck predictor version of snes9x.
That is, a patched snes9x for this specific purpose, which displays additional information of the game's state while making the movie, aimed for making it as easy as possible to manipulate the luck.
In my opinion this is a very useful-sounding idea.

This says "PRG 0", thus you need the PRG 0 version of the game.
If you put your mouse cursor over "PRG 0", it says "Super Mario Bros. (JU) (PRG0) [!].nes".
(Edit: Noticed you referred to the full completion - the same information is there too.)
What more do you need?
For some reason, I'm having no problems with Famtasia. None whatsoever. And I'm not even using Windows - I'm using WINE to run that program under Linux.
FCEU seems to be gaining favor.
Regarding your message (yes you did), I am not completely sure what was the actual message, but I am not going to publish all kinds of movies and accept all submissions. If I accept everything that is submitted, the average value of the site's content decreases, and I think it is important to at least attempt to not let down the users who download new releases from this site.

I'm going to publish this movie regardless of votes, because it's an improvement to an existing movie by the same author and (AFAIK) it doesn't add any controversiality.
