Genisto's Super C movie is an example of berserk mode. I don't think it's cool.

I think timeattacks should be played such that they are - confident - cool but not - berserk - apathetic It's a fine line between those two. Berserk is the one who shoots everything. Apathetic is the one who takes hit even when he could have avoided it without time loss. Confidence shows in that you don't get distracted from your goal. Coolness shows in that you don't hesitate to go the shortest way even if it's full of enemies.

Maybe I'm being punished for getting to the door too quickly.
Maybe. Similar is to be expected from Wart. Sometimes he's always far when the vegetables appear, sometimes he's near. It's more cool if he's near because you don't need to do an extra jump with Toad then - you can immediately toss the vegetable as soon as you have it in your hands.

Edit: I just noticed that in Sleepz video Birdo spit out the first egg sooner, but I don't know why.
Randomness. Try doing different acrobatic maneuvers before/after entering the room where that monster is.

Though - I have to say that I liked Sleepz's overall playing style more, not only because of the goal / total result / glitches.

So all you care about is speed?
I didn't see any added value in the extra items. Getting them (i.e. getting the required amount of hearts) is just mechanical work. It does make a goal that requires creativity to complete fast, but I think a "game completed fast" is a better goal than "game completed fast with all toys". Debatable. Anyway, your previous movie won't vanish completely, because it was for a different goal - similar to Genisto's Princess-only SMB2 run.

I guess this means that I have to redo mine. :( Would you prefer it if I got all upgrades or not?
I don't care as long as it's faster than this :)

Cute.. but where can you get that Japanese font?
This font is called Mikachan and is a truetype font (ttf). It can be installed in Debian GNU/Linux by typing "apt-get install ttf-mikachan" and in Gentoo Linux by typing "emerge mikachan-font". The homepage of the font is: http://mikachan-font.com/

I liked especially these. Your movie is being encoded now.

It looks like I could improve three levels of Solomon's Key.

Browsing through David Wonn's site i found a glitch that supossedly can warp you from Deborah Cliff to Castlevania, it can be found here:http://kontek.net/davidwonn/nes.html#C
I tried it a few times, as well as a few other tricks mentioned on that page, but I didn't manage to do it - as seen in the previous messages above. [moved these two messages between forums.]

That would be sort of a decisive factor...

It's normal in some games to take hits if it will improve the time like me in Castlevania 3 or some moves that seems unnecessary but in reality it was necessary due to the randomness of some games.
It seemed like you took more hit in Castlevania 3 than actually necessary. But I'll leave it to you to improve it :) (unless I get a sudden inspiration of starting my own.) The unnecessary moves are understandable when explained, but without explanation they look odd and distracting. That's why they should usually be made hidden if possible. I failed to do that in the latest Castlevania movie, although I did it in all the previous versions. Anyway, I liked your Castlevania 3 movie. You really showed to me that I knew nothing about that game :P

That you can instantly save and exit and reappear at the starting location.
Is it mentioned in the instruction booklet?

Sounds like something I would definitely use when playing normally, if it saves time. I find that perfectly acceptable in a timeattack.

I'm waiting that Double Dragon release.Hope it will be as variated as mine.
The author says it shows as many bugs and glitches as possible, and plays with very varying style. Also takes no hit. The length is 15:20. It's a bit too long to overwrite your entry, but maybe it'll get copublished. I'll say when I've seen it. He also submitted a Batman timeattack (12:50).

Oh, I first read "5 seconds" and I couldn't believe my eyes. Now with a lower resolution screen (at work) I see it's ".5 seconds". I suppose that's good too. :) -- /me votes for leading zeroes

I'd take the movie that has potential for shorter movie and ask the author to fix the problems in it :) The thing is that I don't really want to be jammed in the position of deciding which of two is best. If that happens, then both submissions will be delayed indefinitely, as happened with Double Dragon (I got another Double Dragon submission today btw).

Shoot for under 28 minutes, since 28 minutes was the estimation :)

I refreshed my memory. Binary Land is indeed interesting to play, but it's similar to the Lolo series or Tetris: the most fun is in solving the puzzles. Watching someone else do the brainwork cancels all the fun.

This kanji font looks exactly what I'd imagine when someone says it looks like fly droppings. It's cool *sometimes* :)
