Also, if you can, try to make the Bospider move horizontally as little as possible. I'm certain that the path it takes is randomly generated and it wastes time the more times it has to move horizontally.

Wow, that was the best version yet! If anything useful comes out of that staircase glitch, that should be all that's left to make it perfect.

The Wily warp tricks are useless, and often make the game unbeatable.

I used your most recent movie for the pipe route. I could never get a 369. >_> haha

Hmm, I just did a frame count comparing the pipe route to finishing with a time of 362. And skipping the pipe is nearly 3 seconds faster, assuming I did my math correctly. >_>

Wow, some of those times I never thought were possible. Though is it really faster to take the pipe route in Donut Plains 1?

Wow, those were some great runs there, Volkov. Already finished 7 seconds faster than my run, with plenty of room for improvement.

Yes, but only if the movie's playback is running when you load the state.

If you want to continue a movie from before, simply replay the movie and make a savestate as it's playing. Then before the movie has finished, reload the savestate and it'll continue where the state loaded from. This should solve both of your potential problems. Using multiple save state slots is a definite time saver, however. Also, the 'Open Read-Only' box must remain unchecked.

I believe the '17ms' setting is normal speed.

Shift and the plus sign key slow down the emulation speed.

Well, watch this for a start: http://www.superplayers.de/danielviebrock/smw/iggy's_castle_242.mpg I also know I wasted time by taking the pipe route through Donut Plains 1, and Star Worlds 1 and 2 weren't the best times, as I was later informed.

Speed running had existed long before 1999... Games such as Doom and Quake had speed running communities shortly after their release.

That's the name of the Ride Armor in this game. Also, over the course of the game it may be benificial to take enough damage to store a Giga Crush, once the body upgrade is acquired. It eliminates the entire first stage of the final Serges fight rather quickly.

Yeah, SDA's timing starts once Mario lands upon Yoshi's House.

Make sure you do the final run on a cart, and you'll be able to get it put on sites such as SDA.

I believe the Metal Gear run was legitimate. As there a few mistakes here and there.

I liked the fact that the movie ended rather early. I was actuallly able to give Player 1 a game over. >_>

If you hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift you will only draw 1 card in draw 3 mode. May be useful, or cheating. You decide.

At least you didn't attempt to download the 0:56 100% run that was added about 2 days earlier.
