Are we cheating? Yes, I guess we are. However, that is not the point. You are right and it is much more impressive to do without cheating. I just do this in my spare time because I am bored. I do not have the patience to play a game for a year to master it perfectly and then make a decent speed run. This allows me to make these movies in a few days that are really fun to watch. I'm just making these movies because they are really fun to watch. I know that this makes your movies seem not as impressive, even though they take much work and skill, and I'm sorry for this. You are absoutly right that it is cheating though. Still, I don't think that there is anything wrong with these movies, but as you said, people should know what we are doing.

Dodging those blue shells is crazy. I've only done it once, and it was by accident.

Change of plan 1: Leave the castle. 2: Go level up with metal slimes 3. Get Erdrick's armor 4. Get the Erdick's token down and right of this. 5. Go immediatly to rimuldar to buy some magic keys 6. Go back to Tantegel castle and get the sunlight stones 7. Go to Garinham and get the silver harp 8. Get staff of rain near Kol 9. Go down get rainbow drops 10. Go to Charlock fortress 11. Get Erdick's sword 12. Beat game I know this is slower, but I have to do it this way, or go buy a potion to use so the swamp doesn't kill me on the way to rimuldar. Also, I would be able to kill a goldman or two for money to buy keys.

So how do you define berserk? What enemies should I kill? Those that get in my way? None? All possible?

After seeing Sleepz movie, I am redoing mine, mostly to: -beat bosses faster -make my jumps more effecient -improve some parts where I wait for platforms Now, the questions is: Should I get all the upgrades? Should I take damage? Should I go "berserk" (as Bisqwit puts it)? If I get the upgrades, it will be slower, but look cooler. If I don't it will be faster, and be really similar to Sleepz version.

What's wrong with berserk? It looks cool. Btw, sorry sleepz for using your topic :p. I'll continue this discussion on the thread for my game.

Okay. I think i will redo it anyway. You're probably right though. Making a long game even longer is not good. I"ll make it shorter. Edit: I just saw the movie. Very nice :) That feather thing and the platform glitch were cool. Too bad I didn't think of that :( Nice job on the bosses. That was much better than me. The only things that I didn't like was the fact that you skipped most enemies. I understand if you skip enemied that will just slow you down, but there were many enemies that were right in front of you and you didn't kill. I know this slows you down where you get exp, but I thought that would have been cooler. The last level you could have also done better. You missed a few enemies you could have killed. Oh, and that mallot thing was kind of stupid. You should have found a statue to destory that took little or no time to get. Very good job though. I really enjoyed it.

Here is my idea so far 1: Leave the castle. 2. Go immediatly to rimuldar to buy some magic keys 3. Go back to Tantegel castle and get the sunlight stones 4. Go to Garinham and get the silver harp 5. Go down, level up to 10ish by fighting metal slimes 6. Get Erdrick's armor(should I do this?) 7. Get the Erdick's token down and right of this. 8. Get staff of rain near Kol 9. Go down get rainbow drops 10. Go to Charlock fortress 11. Get Erdick's sword 12. Beat game This depends on a few things that I don't remember. 1. Do you actually have to save the princess? 2. How many magic keys do I need? 3. Am i doing everything in a possible order? If you've played the game, tell me if i'm missing anything or are doing something impossible.

I tried to do duck hunt just because I thought it would be funny, but it didn't work. For some reason it didn't record the gun shots, so I don't think its possible. Adventures of lolo would not be fun. It would just be like a regular walkthrough for the game. There is not much stratagy to it.,

Yeah, sorry about geocities. Don't know a better place to host it. Anyway, if you look at the movie, you'll see that I get it from a metal slime. If you've ever played a DW game before, you'll know that they give great experience and have very low life, but have 999 defense. This means that you only do 1 damage to them each turn, and they run away most of the time so it is really hard to kill them. However, a critical hit reduces the monster's defense to 0, so it kills them automatically. Do this a few times and you are all leveled up. However, if you continue playing the game after the movie ends, and try to kill any other enemy, they will easily destroy you. Thats really the only decent enemy that you can kill at such a low level.

I already know what you are going to say. You're going to say that it will be boring and that no one likes watching others level up. However, I think that the game can be beaten fighting very little battles and very quickly. Take a look at this short video I made. www.geocities.com/highsummonerbob/dw1.zip This is not perfect, I'm just doing this to give you an idea of what you can do. In here, I walk all the way to the bottom of the map without encountering a single enemy until i fight and kill the enemy that gives the second most amount of exp in 1 hit, all at level 1. Some people say that the game can be beaten at level 15ish without using emulators. Therefor, I can probably do it at much lower using Famtasia, because the time you take to do something affects the randomness of the game, so I can get all critical hits. To get to level 10, I would have to kill this enemy about 18 times. Which would only take a few minutes. There are very few bosses in the game and not many things to get. I'm pretty sure this game can be beaten in well less than an hour. Would anyone like to see this done?

I'm not sure excite bike would be that cool. I love to play it, but its just a bike moving up and down. Maybe in the mode where you race others though.

Yeah, those are annoying. They are called plutons bu the way, and eggplant wizards. Anyway, I'm probably going to redo the game, but not soon.

Once upon a time, I played the balls off of this game, but 15 years apart has left me with a lot of questions regarding the significance of certain elements. I enjoyed watching the new time attack, but I don't understand why certain choices were made. [1] What's the point of collecting all those hearts? Is it like experience points? [2] I understand using the hammers to free flying soldiers, who then help you fight the boss. But if the boss kills them in a flash, do you really need to free them at all? [3] I know what the bow and the fire do, but what's the point of that wand? [4] I remember a "good" ending where Pit turns into a tall, good-looking dude. How do you get the good ending?
1. In the levels where I get strength upgrades, I need a certain amount of "points", or else he won't give it to me. You get these points by collecting hearts, killing enemies, and entering chambers and you lose them by taking damage and shooting arrows. 2.Well, kind of. I'm not entirely sure if those hurt or helped. Except for that last one, they took less than a second to get, but the ones that survived and hit him did a lot more damage than I did. In the later levels, I was doing just as much damage as them so there really was no point in getting them. 3. Well actually, I got that for no purpose. Getting the first two upgrades only slowed me down. I got them because it was cool killing enemies from far away and two with one shot. The "wand" just has crystals that surround you and do damage to nearby enemies. It never activated I think because I never got enough life. That is why I got life in two levels, to activate the two weapons. I just got it so I could get a better ending and say that I got all the weapons. 4. For each of these that you do, you get a better ending: -999 hearts -Level 5 strength(you start out with one) -Level 5 HP(I only got four. The problem was the first time I did it, I had enough experince to get the last level, but you can't go up a level on the last stage) -All 3 weapons

I've decided to do a speed run of this game. However, there are two ways to do this. There is the normal way of beating the game , or there is the level warp. In the royal palace rooms, it is possible to skip to the next one. Should I do this, or beat it normaly?

Well, one of the movies (smb3 full) takes over an hour, so hour long movies should be fine. However, I'm pretty sure 8 hour movies would not be accepted. Unless they were really awesome, but I don't think any movie could be entertaining for 8 hours.
