What client do you use that just sends messages when your not there. I could put a weight on a key and sleep; nothing would send to the server.

And I have a feeling the actual emulation is much faster than that because the Turbo button skips at 15x and doesn't even strain my box. (1.2 GHz)
This could also because it uses frame SKIP to go at this speed...

Sure it's not exactly like the other Wizards & Warriors games, but it was still interesting to watch. I do have some questions though. Mainly, why do you enter the gold wizard trial and he immediately tells you to get out? Re-entering as a Wizard enables you to take the trial, whats the deal? Also, what happens if you say yes to joining Malkil? :)

Why don't you just use the space to add metadata in the same fashion that is already done? Offsets 18 and 1C contain references to what offset the savestate and controller data are at in the file. Why not just use one of the available memory locations to add another reference for the CRC? I would think you could make room for your additional recording features in this way too. Hell, shouldn't you be able to make as much room as you want like this?

Edit. When sets to Normal and Snes9x is in full screen mode, we can't see any menu. And when you press Alt-Enter, or sometimes just Enter, after, supposedly, opening the open rom window, Snes9x crashes.
Escape toggles the menu on and off, it does in windowed mode too.

Oh another feature that would be nice is an always on top mode. Where it runs above other programs so I can do other things while watching a video. Also the ability to turn off the autopause when the window loses focus would be needed. I remember someone else talking about wanting this feature on IRC a while back, but I cannot remember who it was.

Well I redid 6, and added 11. I also hex editted a bit of a change at the end of A. If anyone wants it contact me on IRC, but right now I don't want to go through the trouble of uploading it onto the webserver.

I think it should be handled the same way as the glitch run of Tiny Toon Adventures. Only a link is to the smv is posted, and only in the description of the FULL The Legend of Zelda run.

When I start it up I get a garbled mess of the last frame viewed from the last session. That should be easy enough to fix. The program ends with this frame: Here When I start it, it has this: here

It would be nice to toggle the play of sound during frame advance on and off. Sometimes it can be kinda annoying...

I acually looked into making a run of this game a while ago, and decided against it as I felt it would be extremely boring. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was, but I definately wouldn't want to watch it again. Sometimes about missing so many clocks just bothered me, especially when some were not out of your way at all. It would have been nice to see you get every clock, or atleast close to it. The way it's played now just seems like it's a very good player playing. In the diner and class room stages I beleive you only need to hit 50 bullies/block 50 hearts to complete it. After that point getting hit will still complete you the level. Saving alot of repitition. The guitar level wasn't so bad to watch, but unfortunately i'm going to have to give this movie a meh vote. I'm sure there are people out there that would like to watch this to see the game beaten, but to me it's just not very interesting...

Oh 2, duh it would help if I read. Yeah there were a few occasions that I took a few steps before jumping. Those were either to dodge an enemy or hit him without being hit myself. They were required. I've started redoing 6 avoiding the ledges...it's a pain... I'd say i'm about 1/3 of the way through it again...

Well, the "slopes" aren't acually slopes. More staircases, so the spots where it looks like i'm pausing for a bit are me acually gaining jumping to gain enough height to get up over the edge of the next stair. You cannot just walk up the hills, which is a pain. There are some places I used a small hop instead of a big one to minimize this happening, but it cannot always be helped. It shouldn't slow you down anyways. I can try jumping a little less high to see if I can remove the pauses, but the only other way you could get rid of them would envolve walking, which is much much slower. As for ammo, I'm guessing I SHOULD have enough to use the lazer without having to slow down to pick up ammo. There is quite alot of it just sitting around in the next stage I have to go through; I just need to stick to the giant mushrooms rather than the safe water route ;)

I liked this game back when I played it years ago, and I liked the run. I think this should definately be accepted.

I'm not sure how far the video that you just watched is, and am too lazy to check so i've uploaded one which contains up and including route 6. I think that is a bunch further than what you watched. Get it Here I have not done much since I found out that you only get Gung-Ho for beating Route 7 coming from Stage B, and not Route 6. This is a problem because Gung-Ho gives you extra ammo when you call him (100 shots), and would save alot of time. I've yet to test if how much time is wasted without getting him, or if it would be worth going through Route B and just getting the crappy Pusle rifle instead of the laser gun. Feed back would be nice, as it might get me interested in starting the run up again.

Well yes it's possible to PLAY the game, but these cd images are around the neighbourhood of 600-700MB. Making everyone who wants to view the timeattack need to speed alot of time downloading. Not everyone has that much time/bandwidth. It also would put ALOT of strain on the connection of encoders as they would need to get EVERY PSX game to keep up with the submissions. That is more space than any of them probably have. If you still don't think that is a good reason i'll give; There is also no emulator which supports rerecording and slowdowns. One could set a FPS cap in it to slow it down, but I don't even thing there is one with recording...

I would, but it's a playstation game. Making it not possible for now, and possibly always.

You might want to look around the forum for a new route that TSA provided. I beleive he posted somewhere with some tricks a different temple order that wasn't in his run.
