Do you mean that this is the SD you want to use? Did you derive a 512kb for it? If not, could you let NitroGenesis claim this like he wanted to? Also, any suggested screenshots?

I'm not sure why you didn't just do MM 1-8 + Rockman & Forte. Edit: Nevermind, I guess you can't do it cross system. Still...I hope those are high quality hacks to constitute a run of them, but I haven't played them so I guess I can't judge.

NitroGenesis, can you upload a torrent for the SD? Once you get me that, I should be ready to proceed...

Looking good - the frame war definitely paid off, this version looks much cleaner. Hopefully you two maintain this same level of quality, it will make for a great run.
Thanks a bunch. jaysmad deserves the majority of the credit at this point, as I've mainly been managing everything (Running a repository, merging segments, editing in some extra web shots, etc). That said, I think we've decide that I'll be doing Wolverine's stages while he tries Cyclops' and Storm's, though we haven't decided who's getting custody of Gambit's stage yet (We might split it).

Flygon for giving me the idea of becoming an encoder, Grunt for getting me started and promoting me again and again, ferretfaucet for writing Pyncoder, Ilari for writing many helpful scripts, Dacicus for doing Famtasia, adelikat and Nach for being cool, non-stuck up admins, DarkKobold for quickly judging things so I can publish them, Simon from archive.org for making me an admin of Community Video and Speed Runs, and mmarks for taking it all in stride.

I'm not sure why that'd be better than Story Mode.

I'm not sure why the bot would need access to save states; it's supposed to do the job correct the first time. Either way, what's your opinion on this branch regardless of the AI factor? Also, I invite you to make a topic regarding an AI competition in the Off-Topic forum; count me in if it gets enough attention.

I don't want people to think I have forgotten about this run; I have not. I have started on my first real TAS, and after I finish it, I might return to this. I am a little pessimistic about making a bot to do it, though. Perhaps I can make the run manually, and then work on the bot separately to see how close to perfection I can get it. That said, would this branch even be useful? I personally think so, as I find Vs. Mode to be much more entertaining to watch. Can I get some votes on this before I attempt this?

Oh my God, this run was just AMAZING. Easy Yes vote and a Star, please. You're obsoleting one of my favorite runs. In time, may I ask you how you guys encoded this video? It looks like it has amazing fps as well as great resolution without being too heavy. Thanks in advance.
Expanding on sgrunt's post, we are always looking for encoders. PM me if you're interested.

NitroGenesis, as much as I appreciate your efforts to do this, you really need to use my corrected script. You don't have to re-upload if it looks good (I haven't confirmed that yet), but this fix will make sure the subtitles are always consistent. I'm going to go edit my script's thread. Go check it. Edit: Well, the HD is acceptable, but because you didn't use the latest version of the script, the subs are disproportional. With my fix, the subs on the HD and SD will always relatively be the same. If you want to fix this, let me know. If not, I'll publish it regardless.

I'll check the encodes when they finish processing, though I have a feeling the HD is going to have much smaller subs than the SD, which may or not be a problem (nitrogenesis, we need to talk about making a fix to my script). In the meantime, here's the optimized screenshot:

Well, it seems to be the glitchier of the two, which shows one of the characteristics of the run. If the consensus says the other suggested is better, I'll optimize and use that, but I prefer glitched screenshots.

As I stated earlier, I'd love to do testing for SNES if / when that time comes. I have a lot more SNES games than NES games, so I don't know if I'd be of any use to volunteer for NES.

Claiming for publishing. Also, Bisqwit reported an issue with my encodes, which I have since fixed. Here are the new links: HD YouTube Stream Archive.org Collection Torrent Does anyone have a suggestion for the screenshot?

I have several ways to improve on that run, and would like to coauthor this. Just am not sure how the workload would be distributed. Let's continue our conversations / negotiations. Edit: The team of jaysmad and Brandon has been formed. He will be the main player, while I'll find optimizations, TAS Edit when possible / necessary, and write bots if any would be useful. He will get top billing, and we will use 1.5.1. The frame wars have ended!

Beat the intro level. At this point, I am 206 frames faster than my original run, and at least 134 frames faster than jaysmad's run. Edit: Used TAS Editor to add some style changes and optimize using a web cancel. It took 3 hours, and saved 11 frames. Yay...
