Yes, that's due to sprite limit. Normally, it shoots.

1. What game difficulty is this? lol 2. Does "best ending" even make sense for a game like this?
1. It was done in the easiest difficult. Hardest difficult would be a few frames longer. 2. Yes, in my opinion. It's in the same category DwangoAC's submission was, but without the 'walls mode' restriction, as this is faster than the 12 frames movie in the 'no walls' mode.

No, the movie that reach the ending as fast as possible is 12 frames long.

Interesting. I considered this idea and actually got to this result too while 'brute forcing', but I thought 'best ending' would be a weird goal in a 2 players movie, as there isn't an 'enemy' and it doesn't really mater who wins. So I don't know if this movie fits 'best ending', or if this branch is more suitable to a movie that faces AI.

I think these emulation problems are just graphical. There are no glitches abused in the run, it's only luck manipulation, so it doesn't sound like an emulator error.

Also, now this branch can be changed to only ''perfect score'' or ''best ending'', as my movie is faster then the fastest movie in the other mode, so ''PoorLords'' is not necessary.

Nope. When you rewind, the head can never stop in a square in which it changed its direction (you can notice these squares are outlined with a black square). Instead, it goes to the square that is behind it. So, if I moved there first, it would rewind 2 squares instead of one, which would mean my movement would be 1 up, 2 rewind, 4 left. As rewinding is much faster then going left, what I did is faster. Edit: also, yes, there is a minimum rewind amount that sometimes obligates the head to go back 2 squares instead of one, but that wasn't the problem there.

Wow, that was a very fast movement you managed to achieve in this run! Entertaining TAS with a significant research on how the game works. Yes vote!

I second this replacement. Amaraticando has synced the current Super Mario World ''96 exits'' and ''small only'' TASes into lsnes, so it would be a good idea to replace them too!

Lars, please take more time before submitting a TAS! It's possible to tell you didn't put much effort on this, and even the rerecord amount confirms it. I suggest you to spend at least 10 days or so optimizing this TAS as much as possible, and then submitting it again.

I'll help with this! I started a Cobra Triangle TAS, but I think I'll take a while to finish it, the luck manipulation is absurd. Also, I intend to TAS Double Dragon.

The stops for dominos to fall indeed kill the gameplay a bit, but they aren't boring at all to watch, so I'm voting yes

EDIT: There are some things wrong in what I said here, I'm trying to fix them. The chance of getting no number in the right spot is [(n-1)/n]^n The change of getting exactly one number, however, is (1/n)*n*[(n-1)/n]^(n-1), so, [(n-1)/n]^(n-1), which is a higher chance. Getting 2 numbers would be (n*(n-1)/2n²)*[(n-1)/n]^(n-2) So, lets divide these last 2 possibilities: {(n*(n-1)/2n²)*[(n-1)/n]^(n-2)}/{[(n-1)/n]^(n-1)} = [(n*(n-1)/2n²)]/[(n-1)/n] = n²*(n-1)/[(2n²)*(n-1) = 1/2. So, getting one number is 2 times more likely than getting 2, and also more likely than getting 0. So, it should be the most likely amount of numbers to get.

This game is a bit boring to watch, but the improvement seems interesting! I wouldn't guess there is luck manipulation involved in this kind of game :)

The main potential imporovement i can see would be manipulating shorter end of level tunes. they arent' all the same length.
The songs by themselves indeed aren't the same length, but the time the game waits to go to the next level is always the same. So if I get a shorter song, there would be a bit more waiting after the song finishes, and I'd get to the next level in the same frame.

Conversely, my intuition tells me that if we remove the limitation of n being rational, in other words, we accept any real value of n > 1, then you can choose an n so that 21/n is rational. However, I can't come up with an example of this. Either there is a really trivial example that just doesn't come to mind at this moment, or it's a bit difficult.
That's right. If we have, for example, 2^(1/x) = 1.5, x is n irrational number (1.70951...).

Ops, you are right, it's 256 times, not 255. There should be no '+ 1' there. (I still wonder why people call it '255 pipe exits glitch', then.)

Being A the amount of times you need to enter the same pipe or door in SMW to glitch a level - The square root of (A+1)

I also have no idea, haha. Also... I swear I try a lot to find new improvements before submitting a movie, but it seems I can only find them right after I submit. This movie file (http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/28483512412199714) is 16 frames faster, due to a better ending of input. Could someone replace it, please?

TASvideos timing is wrong. Actually, this was played by 23 minutes. But it seems this indeed isn't a TAS that follows the site rules. EDIT: yeah, the guilty is the old emulator, not TASvideos.
