Are you sure it saves enough time to get the DK-barrel?

Yes, it's a poor choice for a goal because it just makes the run artificially longer, and I bet it's more boring.

Umm, why didn't you pick up any power ups? That's not a good goal if it only makes the boss battles longer.

Moon means that it's not star worthy, but very notable new run (as far as I know).

Please do explain how not walking backwards would've made the run better. I just can't figure out why it would.
You could see where you're going. The thing you do with eyes, you know.

The run is amazing and all, but it was quite boring because of all that backwalking, JXQ's amazing commentary made me watch through it.

I was able to do the Bass battle 1 frame faster, for a total of a 4 frame improvement on the intro stage. =D
I'd like to see how you did that.

L4ayer, aiming for fastest possible speed usually means aiming for perfection.

Oh yeah. To get the S in Junk Man you need Freeze Cracker, unless you know some glitch. Thanks for reminding me Graveworm. So sorry Guybrush, my route wins.
Well damn, didn't know about that.

Also, I forgot to put my partner's name on the submission form! I hope that when/if it gets published that it is properly attributted to "adelikat & guybrush". And sorry Brushy :(
I wasn't offended because you did most of the work (I still have to see if it's good enough ;P) but I was the one who dragged you to work on this game, so I think it's appropriate to mention my name somewhere, not that it's necesarry.

Sir VG, your route is not even close to the fastest route. Fastest boss order for the first 4 bosses is: Cloudman - Junkman - Freezeman - Burstman. Difference is about 9-10 seconds.

And yeah a bit off topic but you tend to really be an asshole sometimes.
At least I don't resort to calling other forum users things like that.
I agree with Fabian, mwl was sometimes going with "I know it all and you know nothing" attidute. It's annoying.

Just to note that Freezeman is destroyed, and in total we are about 12 seconds ahead of the old run at this point.

Weird, when I tell FCEU to play that video it resets the game but doesn't play it...
I had exactly the same problem. Tried playing the file through different fceu version but nothing helped. Deleted the file, redownloaded it, and it somehow worked. Very strange bug.
It's no bug, it's Francesca destroying evil machinery like FCEU which tortures innocent games to break into pieces.

Antialias off isnt that so terrible its hardly noticable, when people watch a video their eyes arent going to try to focus on every little detail. Especially if they encode it using a low bitrate because they want the smallest file size. Then the picture looks blurrly and mud quality, NOW that is what is noticable. Most people are probably even satisfied with medium quality and just want to see the run and not care. So I think my encode is fine.
I think the goal for encoding on this site is to provide as low filesizes as possible with good quality, 1Gb is just so damn big, even if it's good quality.
