It doesn't matter if it takes extra time to change to the hard mode. Sometimes you even have to input a password to get the hard mode (Smash TV for example).

There's already a Super Mario Bros speedwalk released in the concept demos which artifially don't use the 'B' button, so why this one would be rejected if it's entertaining enough.

Frame advance isn't actual hardware, save states aren't actual hardware. Why should you use those then?

Here's what I've done so far.
I was faster in every room compared to the current 100% run, and I'm about 194 frames ahead at this point.
But when compared to the any% run, I lost 12 frames due the randomness in those 3 rooms, so I'm only 54 frames ahead of the any% run at this point.
I'll see if I can somehow manipulate the enemies better or something, but later.

It is inhuman to do almost everything on this site, so you can use turbo and up+down/left+right.
