JXQ, thanks for your tips, I'm not going to redo this run for a while (Metroid and Batman2), so if anyone is interested I can give some tips if needed. The tricks you mentioned were invented by Sami or Walker Boh. And the card in the end of 4-4, it's wrong kind of card and I have no use for it. And I tested that jumping glitch but it didn't work for me all the time :/

And it would be too slow to get ice beam a third time, right?
Well, you'd had to finish the whole game and start over again from the beginning so I think it's bit too slow.

I'm suprised there still isn't a finished run of this game. Your run is Rad man, like totally! I like that you were able to use the magic "suits" or whatever they are, very nice :)
I'll second that, this seems very entertaining.

You sure you want to get both Ice Beams first and then be stuck with wave attack?
So I'll change the route so that I get Wave Beam first and then the second Ice Beam?

Thanks Zoizite, I'll continue my work tonight. The map will really help and I'll take a look if there are any better options.

Thanks for the tips Spider-Waffle ;) But I'm still stuck at the third room because of some luck manipulation :(

Voting YES. Very good and entertaining TAS. You're improvments were clever and you did impress me. Good work Slotermeyer!

This game has the easiest Dracula fight ever, (I havn't played past this game though, so I don't know about the newer games.)
I found Super Castlevania IV's Dracula fight to be much easier than this. At least there you didn't have to worry about dying from falling down a hole.
I agree with Sir VG.

Well, Bisqwit already said that I can use Up+A, so no need to argue about that. But I need help with luck manipulation now. I can't do the 3rd room quickly enough :(

It's important to know if your doing this with up+A or not though.
If its faster then shouldnt he use it?
If it's faster I'll use it. But I have again troubles at 3rd room, I'll tell you when I'm done with it.

Well there's a lot of options, I'm not sure exactly what's fastest. First and foremost is this going to be up+A or not? If not you may be best off going straight into Kraid's lair.
So I should use the same route as Zoizite?

I've redone the whole thing. Here's my run so far (3rd room done). I had some troubles at the very end of 3rd room and I think I'll have to redo it. Rerecord count seems awfully small because I had no troubles manipulating that zoomer now.

Ok, I'll try to manipulate the zoomer away. And I think I'll do it suitful. But Spider-Waffle, did you have some new strategies for 100% run?

Have you tried diffrent things at diffrent frames to see if you can manipulate it away? Perhaps it helps to grab the morph-ball 1 frame later?
I've tried it many ways but can't manipulate it away without losing frames. But I'll try again tomorrow.

I've started improving the 100% run, but I have some problems. It seems that the randomness is against me, I've been trying about 500 times but I can't make that crawler (or whatever it's called) in the 3rd dissapear without wasting atleast 10 frames. I inputted the password 1 frame faster than Zoizite did in his new run, but because of some frame rules I gained control 6 frames earlier than him. And I lost 3 frames because of some frame rules again after picking up the morphing ball. I don't know why but I couldn't do the 2nd room as fast as Zoizite in his new run. And maybe becasue of that I can't make that crawler dissapear properly. Any kind of help is welcome. Here's my short test run. EDIT: Updated the movie file.

I took health pickup from the first "hanging enemy" of the last level, it might be faster to take health there and take those 2 chips pickups later.

There is another spot at the very end of the last level where you can easily get 3 chips.

Nitsuja, do you think it's worth wasting ~10 frames for luck manipulation to get 3 extra chips in the last level? I think it is because you get 2 extra dynamites. But in the other hand, chip countdown is about 12-20 frames slower :/
