Nitsuja: I've redone the first level and gained couple frames there. But, I think I have to redo it again if your tricks work. Nitsuja, could you be my boss fighter? Here's my current WIP.

Here's the first stage redone. I'm now 137 frames ahead Walker :) But I'm having hard times in the boss. Can anyone help me at the boss fights?

Here is my run so far. I'm 130 frames ahead of Walkers published run, but I think I'll redo the first level.

Well, I tried to improve this run more, but I only got 1 frame off. If there could be some way to manipulate the last statue (blue one) to fire different way there could be more improvment.
Hmm, too bad there wasn't any more room for improvement. How much time do you think you can save on the last statue as most?
Maybe 15 frames or more. Not really sure.

Well, I don't really know about those IP-numbers so, what do I do with them?

Anyway, I hope you can improve it even more, perhaps even a second or two! I'll wait with watching this until I hear more from your progress. Good luck, Guybrush! :)
I don't this can be improved by second, but half a second is realistic if I can improve my run by the way I think it can be improved.

Don't think it can be much faster than 2:40. There's not a way you can move faster, the route is fastest, most things are done earliest frame possible etc. But I'll try to make it some frames faster when I get home.

How much should it be faster then? I found a spot where I can make couple frames faster. Is that enough?

how you saved those 3 frames ?
In the zone before the last zone you start by falling down. Vatchern pressed left before he started falling, but I started to press left couple of frames after I started falling. This way I don't hit the wall so much and come down couple of pixels further than Vatchern. EDIT: AngerFist: Well there are some movies where the older movie was only 1 frame slower.

Bablo and I are probably the only ones still working on this run, but we still welcome submissions in case you guys change your mind. :)
Well, I tried to run every stage, but when I got mine faster, you two had already done faster run. You're too good for me.

Bisqwit: If you find usage to this "shutter technique" in Rockman 1, are you going to improve your run?
