Looks good! I see you made use of the elevator glitch quite a lot. It was also good that you killed some thugs on the way down. How will you continue this run, Guybrush? I mean how many more levels will you do before considering this run finished?
Oh gee, that's a tough one. I don't really know. Maybe someone could say that?

I'll soon take a look at the GB elevator action but here is the WIP of the first stage on NES. Right here. What do you think? Isn't it bit more entertaining?

Also, GB and GBC would not be considered the same system as GBA..
Why not?

why the sign up ends so early? i.i
It seems that I have to make the sign up time longer, there aren't enough players yet.

I'd like to see a TAS of this game (Had it on my Famicom). I could also help you with this run, so post WIPs as often as you can;)

Nice one Randil! One part of the movie is funny: When the litlle green guy is just about to stab you, you teleport out of danger. It seems like that enemy kills you. EDIT: Oh, btw, I'll vote YES!

I'll just point out that there's a game called "Elevator Action: Old & New" for the GBA. If you select "Old" it's just this same game as this, but if you select "New" it's a game with the same basic components as this (lots of illegally unsafe elevators and doors to steal things from), but tweaked to be a lot more action-packed and less repetive (with a decent number of unique levels and a definite ending). I think it would make a much more interesting run than this. BTW, I thought you did have to enter the red doors in this game, or it didn't really end the level or didn't count as beating the level.
The "new" one doesn't seem to have anything to do with the game "elevator actions returns", for the arcade, so i say it's a good option.
I'll take a look at it, though I don't like working with VBA.

I like your idea Guybrush but I really feel reluctant to sign up because Im certainly not a "dream player". A dream player for me is: FODA, Bisqwit, Finalfighter, Phil, SprintGod, Genisto, Walker (forgive me if I forgot mentioning other super players). There are some rising TAS star players but I wont mention their names yet, as I feel I need more run/s from them until I can put them in the same league as above. The reason I mention them is because they hold alot of records + the fact that they are all-round players. FODA said that it only takes a few hours to master any game, and I totally agree with that. But as I said, I certainly dont think Im qualified for this "league" :)
You don't have to be a "dream player" to be a part of this contest.

I once had all my NES games on the floor and our dear dog did something really wet to them. 23 games were ruined:)

Good job on this Randil! But you just run through those flames that come up from the floor, Wouldn't it be faster to jump first (avoid damage from the first flame) and then run, or jump again??

Looks nice, but as you said, you waste quite some time on the first red door. Just wondering, how do you beat a level in this game? Is a level beaten by getting to the bottom of the house? The thing I'm wondering about is whether it's absolutely necessary to enter the red doors, since this wastes quite a lot of time. And what's this glitch you're talking about? The only glitchy thing I saw in this run was when you got on that last elevator in a weird way, is this the glitch you're talking about?
You don't have to go to all those red doors, but I think it makes the movie more interesting. Here's the glitch. It makes entering the elevator much faster, also coming out of the elev. is faster this way!

Here's the next WIP. Found another way to use the glitch. I'll have to redo the first red door because I spent an eternity there.

However, the game Circus Charlie loops too, is it the same kind of loop in Elevator action, that it just plays a few levels over and over again? In that case, maybe this run could be like that game, that you play all levels once, and stop the movie after that.
I'll do it like that.

I hope it gets a lot more entertaining from that point, seeing you ride down the elevetor for 20 seconds without anything happening wasn't very exciting... Maybe you could go for an "100% kills" run or something, I don't know, maybe the enemies respawn after you kill them. But I really think you should somehow spice the run up, even if you do beat that level as fast as possible by doing nothing but riding that elevator.
This is only a test run, fast but not entertaining. There are endless number of enemies, if you kill one, another will show up. So, there can't be a "100% kill" TAS.

Here's my first WIP. It's very short but I found one, pretty useful glitch. About doing a TAS of this game, this game does loop forever, so should I do a first stage TAS?
