As a moderator, I advice everyone to leave Swordless Link's obvious provocations alone and continue the possible discussion in a civil manner. I am pleased with DarkKobold's decision, as a 16 star run is just pointless. The 120 star run covers every star in the game (yes I know that it is outdated, but I judging from this submission, it is possible to patch up a run with less effort than starting a new one from scratch) and the 0 star run covers the fastest possible playthrough. Wheter there should be a low-glitch 70 star run, I can't say anything meaningful about that.

To be honest, that screenshot sucks big time. It looks like there's just noise on the picture.

Side-BLJing allows to bypass the 30-stars door and DDD which would be pointless since you could beat the game with 0 star.
You said it yourself, this run is pointless.

Voting no, this category is pretty much pointless. The 120 star run covers everything that the 0 star run doesn't, so why have this?

What you do, is first pause the emulator. Then you choose to play the .fm2-file you want to make an AVI of. Then choose "Record AVI" from File -> AVI/WAV. Then choose the options you like and that's let it record. That's basically how you do, but I'm sure someone can provide you with better directions. I'm quite sure you can figure it out by yourself though, it's not that tricky. Good luck and welcome to TASVideos! :)

The couple of first levels are incredibly boring and slow paced. The action picks up a little on later stages, but overall the entertainment value of this TAS is quite low. My vote is no, mainly because the game is boring. I did notice some stuff that seemed sloppy, but that might be the games fault and not actual sloppiness.

I think this should be done so that there's a footage you all must encode and then the audience will judge the quality of it and then we shall compare the file sizes and then the one who has the biggest file size has to climb the tallest palm tree and whoever brings me the most beautiful lady can skip two obstacles of his/her choice on the obstacle course and then the president will say "You all should bring me those pumpkins" and then Tom Cruise falls off of his box and there will be blood which is cleaned by Samuel L. Jackson, because he doesn't like blood, because he once saw this rhino on the beach where he was standing for no reason and the encoder who tames this rhino and can jump a fence on it will get the advantage and in the end Aktan or Grunt will tie and they have to go to a tie-breaker which is a kissing contest.

There's a bug or something that makes new posts sometimes disappear. If this happens to you, just try posting again.

So, is this topic about Toki or Thrilla's Surfari? It can't be both.

Brushy's pro tip #3829/B77: Don't aim for speed with a game like this. Play around, do amusing stuff, surprise us! Fouling attempts to save time is a bad choice and makes this movie of your's kinda... Well... I'm sorry, but it's quite boring. Don't aim for speed. Get maximum score and the play around with the other attempts and stuff. And try to play around as much as possible while getting the maximum score.

You mean that you should go buy the game and dump the ROM, right?

JXQ, I see that you have confused this thread with another thread. You're supposed to be showcasing your musical talents here. I hope you will correct your mistake as soon as possible. Your friend, Fabi Brushy

I'm doing a small forum cleanup by merging threads together. If you notice two or more threads of a same game and want to help, please PM links to those threads to me. I've got NES forum covered, but feel free to help me with every other section. All help is much appreciated!

I merged a couple of threads together. There isn't much useful info, but there has been some interest for this game in the past. Button smashing TASes aren't generally that interesting, since smashing buttons as fast as possible is quite easy with TAS tools. Your best bet is to find some interesting and amusing glitches and other tricks and exploit them as much as possible.

I think it's not an actual 3D holograph, since there's some reflective wall thingy in the background. Kinda cool though, I think.

I saw it till the second pipe and then I really had to stop. The idea is horrible, so I voted no.

TASing in the future is done solely by adelikat, DarkKobold, Cardboard, Tompa and Randil. Rerecords climb occasionally as high as 431922, but are mostly around 13000. It takes usually takes 2 weeks for adelikat and Randil to finish a TAS. 3 weeks for Cardboard and DarkKobold and 4 months for Tompa, since he likes to whore frames and restart his TASes. Movies will change a bit or a lot, depending on the game.

You can't make native resolution Flash comatible MP4s?
That requires extra processing time. With HQx MP4s, I had a good excuse to go without Deldup.
How much extra processing time?
