I will vote Yes for this movie because I think that this game is very fun, and it's 1 player controls 2 characters at the same time (which I find very difficult but really fun to watch.) The bad thing is what Phil said, "it's made in Genesis" :/

Nach: Should really two different runs of Umihara Kawase be nominated? And no room for Goof Troop? :( Is it only me who find it humorous?

It was a tough one between rockman 2 and rygar but i decided to say rygar, cuz that movie is just incredible.. I'd never beat that game as a kid and I don't think I'll now either because of it's difficulity and length!

Since the SNES games don't have too many glitches, this is a harder topic to nominate for... I'll nominate Mega Man X by DeHackEd http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=300 Skipping a lot of Flame Mammoth's level by jumping into an enemy chute is great. I also like how he jumped around the trigger for Vile to start yakking.
I couldn't agree more!

Bisqwit's Rockman run. Probably my favorite run on this site. Morimoto and FinalFighter's Rockman 2 run. Sleepz's Super Mario Brothers 2 run.
You read my thoughts ;> Edit: I almost forgot Chip n' Dale and Gremlins 2

I would say SNES Super Mario RPG (USA) in 2:57:34 by Spezzafer. Never expected someone to make a 3hours run and then redo it in such small time.
True, and I didn't think anyone would had the energy to make this movie.

^ And the thinking new game=bad (which I have seen) is equally close minded and born of nostalgia. I think the statement, "They didn't need awesome graphics back then," is a blurring of the past, if not a lie. Even back then, they had to push awesome graphics to be noticed. Heck, "excellent graphics" were the introduction to The Legend of Zelda's ad campaign ("Woah! Nice graphics!"). Every generation has had to rely upon technical superiority; simply because the bar is being raised doesn't mean the focus was any less than it was a decade ago. That being said, I find it hard to appreciate pre-Nintendo video games. Why? Because of the never-ending style of 99% of them. I like my games to finish, thank you.

Julianch forgot MMX4 in his list, one of my faves! I'm not quite up on the MMX series though. Of the 64+ bit games I prefer the Legends series.
yeah, I really like that one too, great story etc :> I haven't played the MML series, I mostly prefer the NES and SNES versions..

He's destroying all of his weapons after he's been putting Wily in chains, because he dosen't want to carry weapons since he think's it's wrong and it could hurt some innocent people... duuuh ;>

Mega Man - Jumping up the disapeparing blocks on iceman's stage was a certain time of danger for my control pad to be smashed to bits. Also, the moving lifts on gutman's stage were designed by satan. Finally, Dr Wily's stage is still a challenge for me. (Brian B) hahaha! that comment was this day's big laugh :DD
