RCR has a graphics glitch where a saleslady at a store is naked and covering herself with her hands for 2 frames, then looks normal. I'll try to post a screenshot.

Well, you need to use an IPS patching program, like the ones here, and just select the rom and the patch. It modifies whatever areas of the ROM need modifying to make that work. Edit: 1000 posts!

Right temperature interpretation The song "right temperature" has... ambiguous... lyrics. Here's one interpretation.

Considering that Mario's speed is double, I doubt that that trick would under normal conditions.

Words marked. I think that's unlikely (but by no means impossible) because the old run had been standing for 2 years when this came in. I imagine there might be a couple minor improvements left, but major bugs could take a while before they're discovered. Now, here's a very nitpicky thing, but one that bugs me big-time. Almost all SMB1 runs start 1-1 by jumping to hit the first coin block, then jumping on the Goomba to kill it. This opening has become way too bland for me. I would prefer it if future runs did something a bit different, even if it earned less points. Here's my suggestion: Jump on the first coin block, then jump from there to the high coin block above all the bricks. Then do a flying leap from there to stay above the screen for a while.

Try fifth. In the last month alone, even.
Wow. Time... doesn't fly? I was only thinking about the SMB2 mario runs, and I thought those had been more than a month ago. I suppose time is slowing down because it's so near Christmas... On another note, who voted "meh"?

South Park Movie song medley. It's an actual scene in the movie, not edited together by someone else. It's the only musical I actually like. NSFW, swearing.

I used to work on sentences without A, E, I, O or U in them. I found that alternate spellings of Norse mythological figures = win. E.G. Jwrmwngyndr, Nydhggr, Nyflhyym, etc. (Jormungandr, Nidhoggr, Niflheim). Twyndyllyng is an old English word meaning "fraternal twin". Using mmbossman's definition of a vowel, I propose the words jth kth lth mth nth Those are the ones most commonly used for mathematical terms (IE nth being pronounced "enth")

Well, that should be good enough provided the run is fast-paced, well-done and entertaining.

I've never played the game, but I still enjoyed the TAS. But I suppose desynching can't really be helped if you must cancel the project...

In light of the Math Challenges thread, this is a thread for word-based challenges. Not something like a vocabulary quiz or word problems, but stuff like "How many suffixes can be added to this word?" Here's 2: What is the longest word where the letter are in alphabetical order (Double letters allowed)? My best so far is CHILLS What 4 letters have the most anagrams which are also words? No double letters. Brand names and proper nouns count as words here, provided they are fairly common. My best is E, N, O, S: NOSE (That thing between your eyes) NOES (Plural of no) NEOS (Plural of neo) ENSO (A type of Ferrari car) SONE (A measure of sound) ONES (Plural of one)

You don't have to make it your real avatar, but post Holiday/Christmas/Hanukkah/whatever versions of your avatar here! Scudworth wearing a Santa hat.

Would it roll "credits" or a "you win" screen afterwards? TASes are much preferred if something like this happens.

But with levels where order doesn't matter, it's a good route.

Yay for the 0-star, 2-key run. I have some star route suggestions for the new 120-star TAS. They're just stylistic , but I think some runs are worsened by bad star order within levels. I haven't seen your WIP, as I'm trying to keep the surprise. But here's what I think makes a good star route, in order of priority(1 is highest): 1. Get the 100-coin star (and its companion) last. This is because it usually shows the whole level, and when too early it spoils the surprise. 2. Get the red-coin star first. This shows a decent amount of the level without giving everything away. Of course, if the red coin star is the 100 coin star's companion, get it last. 3. Get the course's fastest star as soon as you can (but after the red coin star, as this is lower priority than 2) 4. Get the slowest star soon. This gets it out of the way, but keeps it behind the stars collected under priority 2 and 3. Of course, if other stars are necessary first, get them. But I think this is a good rubric for star order. Whew. I've had to type this left-handed for an hour. I'm done.

I think accepting it is fine, provided it does not get in the way of any real TASes.

Knowing Rridgway, I can confirm he is not a mormon. But removing the second M does get something which he is...

Yes vote. Insanely good. The new BLJ routes stunned me. Also, I support the tag. I vote for the last of Swordlesslink's screenshots.

Yes vote, for awesome fighting. I thought the name entry was a little boring, as I don't speak Japanese, and the plot was also hard to follow. However, the fighting more than made up for it.

Try loading a savestate where you have all the movie stuff still there, while recording the movie. That should recover the file. I've deleted stuff and saved it that way.
